Any tune what so ever, will void you're warranty. Once you touch the mapping of the car you cant go back.

I just got to test drive one and had no problem with shifting and I have not driven a manual in 11 years so my shifting wasn't the smoothest,so that was on me,but I never had the skip shift engage and no grinding,a blast to drive.I think I'll be ordering around April for a June delivery.So hope you can get that checked out and fixed if there is a problem

These transmissions for the most part (up to 700RWHP) are bullet proof. The o.p. might just have a bad trans...its happens from time to time...you have almost your full warranty left...the sky isn't falling. Any COMPETENT service department will be able to fix your issue.

My 577WHP 1LE was "built" @ 1600 miles with zero issues.....and with 600+ more miles since the build.....still zero issues. Oh yeah.....and 4 passes at the track. Almost sounds like a crap shoot wether you have issues or not but seems fairly rare.

I'm new to Camaro5.com but have raced a thirdgen Camaro for years with a Tremec 3550 and now a TKO. My Tremecs didn't shift very well until I used GM transmission fluid for a 2008 ZO6. It shifts at over 6000 rpm with this fluid and I didn't realize how much of a difference the right fluid could make. If that doesn't work, the transmission can be rebuilt with carbon synchros.

My car shifts VERY nicely especially when the RPMs are higher than 2K. I do have a couple complaints, however.

1. When the skip shift comes on and, thus, forces you to 4th, OFTEN it sounds like the transmission is grinding away like a low rumble chatter. I've started shifting to 3rd instead. It blocks from 2nd but not to third.

2. Sometimes I swear I hear the throwout bearing making lots of whirring noise. I'm not sure if this is how I'm driving, clutching but it's a annoying. I can hear it over the radio.

3. I'm surprised at the amount of chatter the transmission can make if you don't feather the clutch just so. I'm not talking about the skip shift chatter. I know the difference. But I hear lots of metal clanking about. Now if I rev the car more and mind my clutching this isn't a problem. Perhaps this issues lie between the steering wheel and the floor as in my driving style. Perhaps I'm driving too much for mileage at the moment.

I agree, when I go through the parking lot if I am not appling gas it will chatter and metal against metal sound.I have speed bumps I have to go over and I crawl but still makes a lot of unpleasant sounds we will call them lol.

ALRIGHT GUYS! I called the deal about my car not going into reverse and they told me to bring it in.. but it only happened twice. Instead of going after the lemon law I am taking the more expensive and least amount of time approach, TRADING IT IN!! It almost brings tears to my eyes because I love everything else about the car, but I will not go through this tranny crap any longer! this is a 40,000 dollar car and GM should not allow this crap to happen and need to Fix the ISSUE with the TR-6060. Best of luck to all the guys out there that have similar issues and will have these issues. I want to thank everyone for your support and it has been a rough ride, but at least I can say I tried to own such a great piece of American muscle.

That is a DAM SHAME!! These Chevrolet dealers with piss poor trained professional staff!! They drive customers to this point and of course at OP's expense.

not a 1le but my notchy shift 1-2 started at 36 miles,
now with 24K miles not any better but not any worse either ......

Sorry you're having these issues. I know what you're going through. Had problems with reverse on my V6 fourth gen and couldn't duplicate the problem for the dealership. 2nd gear went out at 39k miles, 3k after warranty was up, and caused the transmission to need a complete rebuild. Dealership wouldn't help and I should have pursued it further but didn't and ended up swallowing a $1,700 bill out of pocket. Just hit 139k miles today and reverse still clunks every now and then but I haven't needed another rebuild. I personally would make them fix it or get me another car but I can understand your decision. Good luck with whatever ends up happening.

It's a new day!! If you havent completely given up, bring it to the west side of wisconsin to Runde Chevrolet. That"s wwhere I work. Got one of the best techs a dealership could ask for. He rebuilds, if needed, all the trans issues whether it is an auto or manual. or they just order a new one, which would probably be your case. This is straight forward stuff!! If a dealership won't do anything about it, it's because they don't have the know how or terrible customer service. Hate to see you get rid of it when not necessary. Here to help. Hmm... That's a shame. Did they even get a chance to look at it? Sounds like your car has bad synchros. I can understand not wanting to go through the hassle of warranty repairs on a new car. Are you gonna get another Camaro or have you been soured by the experience?
