Yes but he did specify that he wants to be able to run with a ZO6 and thats going to take 525-550RWHP through a auto to just barely beat a stock one.

Just get a blower cam, and if it's not what you were hoping for... put a blower on it. Seems like an easy decision to me. Doesn't matter how fast your car is. As long as it CAN be faster... you'll know it deep down

True. Can't argue with that... Sometimes building your ride slowly is half the fun though--keeps it interesting and from one getting bored with their ride. You can always start N/A and progress to boost later, if it's not enough. That's my plan, anyway. 'Still enjoying the journey and looking forward (often impatiently) to the next improvement in performance and fun.

You have LOTS of options for SC's. It all depends on how much HP you want to make, where in the powerband you want to make it, and future HP goals as well. There's give an take with every option. It sounds like a Procharger or Vortech is what would suit you. Everyone will give you their opinion on why their choice is better. Just know that 400+ft/lbs Tq @ 1800rpm is great for shredding tires but is extremely hard on the drivetrain and sucks for traction. All that $$ you'll saved on engine parts will now be spent on beefing up the drivetrain and suspension. You'd have to do that either way you go though.

The problem with your "pathway" is that both go in different directions once you reach a point. If you invest $15k+ in high compression NA motor, you'll have to spend even more to drop the compression back down to make it play nicer with boost. It's much cheaper if you're able to do the labor yourself but if not, you'll have to pay a builder to rebuild your motor twice. In the end, it's much easier/cheaper to pick a path and stay on it.

So forced induction, whipple complete kit, l99 to ls3 conversion, rough idle cam, 2800 stall, 3.72 gears, kooks headers with 3" cats and straight pipe, cold air inductions intake, ported tb, custom dyno tune. I'm hoping not to spend more then 15k.

Call around to the shops that you're interested in and ask their opinion. Afterall, they're the ones that are going to tune and service you after the install.

Or do a TT kit, and make more power without doing the cam, headers, cai, ported TB, etc.
