I've seen it before, and I've seen it a lot worse than that. I don't know if GM has an official fix for this yet, but your dealer may take care of you.

It looks like a defect. You can see something in the middle there like maybe a panel tab that slides into a notch?? (guessing) Looks like it was forced on.

Take it to the dealer. I wouldn't fiddle with it.

I had this exact same problem with my new 09 CTS. Take it in to the dealer. It is a small tab issue. They can fix that relatively quickly.

Don't screw with it. Just return it to the dealer for repair.

Or did you perhaps do this yourself to convince yourself to go for the body kit? No? JK

Looks like an easy fix.

Oh and many from GM read this site including me.

Well actually they should be able to find out exactly who signed off on the body inspection and give the a little slap. A write up at the least.

let me ask this has anyone gone back to the dealer for this . i spoke to the gm of service yesterday about something else and he said that these cars are to new where they dont know anything about them yet . so do i go there and be the lab rat . if they take that rocker off will they have what they need in stock i doubt it so now they put it back on till the part comes in and maybe its worse . the 3m tape seems a little to thick maybe something a little thinnner might do the job .i dont see a new clip fixing this that clip is about 3inches forward from the rear .and the bulging part is about 1 inch from the rear

Find another one with ABM and look at the pics for a comparison. Curious about it.

Maybe it was pushed back to make the fender wall edge flush? Looks like if you flattned it the bottom edge would stick out about 1/16 or so.
