Don't see any videos in this thread yet. We need to see someone working thru the gears! (with some loud RPMs in the background)

Late Model restoration skeptics

To all of you skeptical of the late model restoration pricing on the shifter.. Would they deliver? Would they jack up the price? How could they be cheaper than Nick and the special camaro 5 buy?

Well as I posted previously, I ordered from them and low and behold my shifter arrived 2 days ago for the low price of 289.99. Once again they delivered the part I ordered at the price they advertised. Seems like a reputable company to me. I had ordered the aluminum bow ties and a SLP skip shift eliminator from them in August and will likely do business with them again.

Happy shopping to all who haven't ordered yet. I will be installing soon.

So the "special" Camaro5 group buy from Nick actually cost me $70 more for the same shifter? That is significant!

Nick - Say it isn't so !!!

I asked Nick about the price difference before I ordered and he told me that there was no way that LMR could be cheaper than him. In fact he said that LMR didn't even have shifters allocated to them and would likely not be able to deliver if I ordered from them, if they did, they would jack up the price when they got some in stock.

I think Nick was/is just trying to make a little more profit on us and LMR was willing to sell their first allocation at or near their cost to gain our business. I would recommend shopping with them and they have quite a few acc for the 2010 camaro. Don't be afraid to do business with them.

LMR price today is only 334.99, still cheaper than Nick I think.

Just FYI for everyone and VegasSS I tend to agree with your opinion this is old news and has been beat to death. LMR price was legit and they posted confirmation in vendor section, I and a few other people were locked in at that price and it only went up because hurst advised them to increase it. No offense to Nick but his big claim was he had the first batch and technically he did but within a week of when all this started everyone else had their stock to, including eBay sellers and others internet sites. Nick set a price and people paid it that's how the cookie crumbles, I don't think he was marking them way up but only him and hurst know that for sure. When Nick posted his price and late model posted theirs I chose to go with late model, there was suppose to be a month wait but as I stated that didn't happen and they got some in right after Nick.

For those wanting this shifter whomever you buy it from definitely buy it. It is a fantastic upgrade and I feel even better than advertised, also get a lot of compliments on the looks.

For what I payed thru Nick, the shifter is still worth it... nice addition.

Too bad I didn't hear about LMRs pricing till after I got the part.

Or how bought he just charged us MSRP. We still got a deal, maybe it wasn't the best, but it was still cheaper than buying direct.

There are bigger things in life, move on and have fun with the car.

I am very happy with mine and can't wait to get it installed.

So that's where a lot of the pricing discussion took place... in the 'Interior Parts and Accessories' sub-forum. Duh... I should of looked over there too.

Sorry if the posting was continuing the beating. I was not aware that it had been cleared up in the vender section. Last I saw LMR was getting a bad rep in this thread back when I ordered and I just wanted to let folks know that they deliver. I can't keep up on all the threads and same topic covered in multiple locations. I haven't been back to the thread since I ordered and just visited today since my shifter arrived and wanted to share my experience.

HURST PRICE.

Late Model Performance in Florida, has hooked me up with my Corsa, and the Hurst shifter. As of two weeks ago, I paid $309.00 shipped for the Hurst. And they gave me the best price for the Corsa. All now installed, and it's awesome.

So have you put it on the car and how do you like it if you did?

Been stuck working and plan to get it installed soon. I am also waiting until my friend gets back in town. He has a lift in his garage which I think will make the install go alot smoother and quicker.

Hurst Red pistol grip shift handle

Here is another limited edition Hurst knob. Unfortunately, the only way to get it is to buy a Hurst/Camaro.
