And availability? I'm kinda glad the whole hurst problem came up i would rather have this one and have nearly 50% less travel than 20 or whatever the other one was suppose to be. I still think its kinda weird to offer two hurst options, one at factory with slight upgrade and one comepletely aftermarket with more of an upgrade. Why not offer best option and be done with it. i say the less travel the better.

Is it possible to keep the stock knob witht his shifter to keep stock look? I did it with my mustang, it looks completely stock but its a short throw.

I really want to keep the stock look I hate how the white ball looks as well as the leather not covering the whole thing.

I kinda agree, but I know my IROCZ I had the leather wore off of the ball, and it left just a black ball, which wasn't bad, just don't want to wear the leather off of this one.

2SSRS,

Yes, Thanks...but from the other end...I'm trying to relive my youth ('68 Silver SS/RS, HURST, and my hottie, barefoot in shorts, leaning on my arm....OH Wait! sorry: )

Point is, many of us are in the market to go as old school as possible. White shift knob? Yeah! Remember the rubber boot? Now if Chevy could just come up with a way to make the clutch pedal sqeak like the real ones did.

I remember my 79 4sd TA and a pedal that felt like it toke 300 pounds to press it down,
But i was saying that Hurst will have it in both White shift knob or stock knob format.

yes, the upper adapter piece is being worked on to retain the stock knob and is slated to be included in the kit now. So, it may take a little longer to start shipping the shifters because of this now "added" feature, but I will arrange some sort of GB for all the members who are interested when time comes!

Sign me up! I agree that it does look a tad out of place in the new interior, but this is a muscle car and that shifter looks to be all business. Versatility in a product is always a good thing and as long as we have the option to keep the stock knob on there I'm gonna go for the retro look and see how that grabs me. If I get tired of it I'll just throw the stocker on or get a blackball and see how that looks. Either way, there's a Hurst in my future
