Let's talk HIGH IATs.

So on my new to me F1-C with 1300 intercooler...IAT is going north of 180..in the 1/8....with single nozzle of meth.

I need a more efficient intercooler. ...

So what's better than ProChargers 1300 hp race intercooler?

I had dual meth nozzles on my D1..with the F1-C we went with just one, because it's on E85 and octane wasn't a concern..but went crazy with ID 2000 and now I have way too much fuel. ...so 2 nozzles is too rich.

Also spinning my F1-C at max rpm..isn't helping with IAT..but man is the car moving out... I trapped 109 in 1/8 standing on the brakes...it cut a 1.47...I was braket racing an not exactly expectin the 60 ft being that good.

Also was pulling timing due to IAT.

Wow that is hot. Top of 4th on my Ysi making ~1050+ I see ~20F over ambient by the end of the pulls 1st-4th with dual nozzles. Without they are still only in the 130-140F range on a 80F day.

9 sec club is 9 sec club....those numbers would work out to a 9.9x!

I agree with dual nozzles... just thinking an upgrade in air 2 air would maximize current set up

Also planning on moving down to a 15 with a 275 MT pro..maybe 1.4 turn to 1.3...1.2!! My race weight is 4300#

Hey, where did my post go.

To qualify you have to run the number. Mine of this guessing non sense. I'm 4300lbs. You need to find a way to lower these weights.

I just bought the 275 pro and it's going on a weld 15" beadlock. Come to norwalk in August for the nmca and check it out.

I hope to have my new wheels and tires by then too....what you planning to do to shed weight?

I'm just breaking your balls. You're doing great with a new setup takes time. Only I can make 9 second first time out shakedown passes. Bahaha

Low 6.3 should be a 9 assuming nothing goes wrong during the last 1/4.

I'm not shedding weight. It'll stay a full weight street car. All the stock interior, a/c, etc. it'll race the way it's driven. Just a swap from 325's to the 275's.

Should be fun in norwalk. I'll be out with the Farks crew since we are leaving together.

If it was a 1/4 mile track..it might have busted a 9 off the trailer!

It's going to be a blast in Norwalk...

I was pulling 5 degree of timing on those runs...plus not having full timing with E85. As I am seeing only 65-70 alcohol content right now...and it won't add full till 80%.

Couldn't ask for a better crew to roll with.

Ask Tracy what he thinks about the iat issues. He'll know better than most of us idiots.

Gotta get a few more shakedown days before the nmca's my car should be back on the track in a week or two.

I would imagine our big intercooler would cool better than that. It's over twice the core size. Would be an interesting test.

The core itself without endtanks is 20wide 18tall 4.5thick
The long distance between endtanks makes it cool better. You can only do so much when it's hot outside with an air-air.

I'll have to talk to my guy about that intercooler. See what I can get out of a larger core on a 1000+ build.

After taking with that guy that's known for selling parts to eveyone....I gonna be adding back that second nozzle of meth and move my IAT to the other side of my charge tube.

I know ProCharger has a universal 1500 race intercoolerror that is supposed to be pretty good.

Wouldn't mind seeing what AGP cooler does. But air/air can only go so far.

Procharger intercoolers suuuuuuuck, my tuner tuned my car said on a 32 degree day that I still had a high ait and I have the same core you do. He told me procharger isn't the best will work ok. Here's a text he sent me with some of the better brands that he's worked with (Precision, east coast supercharges, garret, chiseled performance, treadstone. They are all good cores, garret/chiseled are the best). Also something else he mentioned that when you ditch the procharger intercooler for one of these you might gain a pound or two of boost because they're that effecient.

I don't think it is as much the intercoolers as the F series blowers are heat monsters. Yes the intercoolers aren't as good as the competition, but those F series blower run way hotter than a comparable Ysi/2200R.

We ran a F!C ar 19lbs. Cheap e-bay 4" cooler and 1 meth nozzle. Inlet temps on the street or track where not an issue.
I run the cheap 4" cooler on my race car, just made bigger end tanks. The Procharger coolers are not that great.
