Smile New member Intro/questions

Just got my American Iron fix w/ 2015 1le. This is one great car! Been a Porsche guy forever, still have two 991's and a cayenne, but this 1le is just so much car and very enjoyable to drive.
Starting to make it mine with black bowtie emblems. Is it easier to use inserts or replace full emblem? Is back one snapped in or adhesive tape used. Any advise would be appreciated as don't want to break it so soon.

I used plasti dip spray, just make sure you mask off EVERYTHING! i.e. plastic drop cloth over the car. You can always remove it with minimal effort as well. Welcome to the 1LE club, now get that thing on the track!

Welcome to the 1LE club.

My Dad is a Porsche guy with a 2014 Cayman manual and a 1969 912 and he loves driving my 1LE.

welcome to the club. I tried plasti dipping and either I didn't do a good job or I don't like plastidipping. It was probably me not doing a good job. My emblem already has some dip that has peeled off. Looking at painted ones from Gary's custom right now. Black chrome with satin finish.

Make sure you cover that car up if you decide it. Very fine overspray seems to find itself everywhere. It comes of really easy, but just a pain to clean.

Porsche 911....Camaro 1le so very different yet the same, they are drivers cars that put a smile on your face.
Is the rear bowtie just glued on or are there pins into the trunk lid?

I put vinyl over mine. Based on other threads I've read, the rear is just on with 3M tape. If you decide to replace them, check out this thread:

Plasti dip... super easy. You can play with ideas and change it if you don't like it.. no harm no foul! And welcome... I've had mine for few months and it's a blast!

No Pins, fish line and heat gun about it.

I am on the reverse of this, I removed the SS front and back.

I am waiting to remove the C A M A R O .

Next is 1LE badge either from Emblem Pro's or just use Vinyl .

Anyway Congrats and Enjoy =}
