Battery location?

Hello all from the UK and own a camaro, now this maybe the dumbest question asked on here, but here goes where is the actually car battery located on a camaro? on standard UK cars it is in a corner of the engine and easy to see, but i see nothing that resemble a battery in the camaro engine bay? also how would i go about disconnecting it? i want to do some work and it requires the battery been disabled, pictures would be great if possible lol

also if you ever need to jump start it, there is a positive conection as well as a grounding post under the hood, the grounding post in on the front right corner.

Tom - i see you have a left hooker...did you import from the USA? I'm a brit living in Florida, and my brother who is in the UK is in love with my car! What was the import process like?

Just editing as you can see from the SIG i have a few engine modifications, do they check emissions, hydrocarbons etc??

I can't answer any of that im afriad, i bought the car over here after it had been imported, i know that insurance companies over here dont seem to know what it is, insurance for my 6.2 V8 is cheaper than it was for my BMW z4 2.0ltr, also the road tax is lower than alot of the big engine cars over here, I read that all european cars wing mirrors should be able to fold in, mine dont but never been questioned.

The guy i bought it off said it worked out for be about £2000 cheaper buy in the US and shipping over getting it through customs, and all the emissions checks than it is the buy one from one of the few chevy dealerships over here that officially sell them.

Only problem is getting performance parts/spares/electrics for it, always have to order from the states, and the good old tax man loves that :/
