A V6 WIN!!!!!
You keep on believing that.

That's cool.

I have a buddy that has a 2002 SS convertible w/ 1500 miles on it. It's been garaged since new and he changes the oil every spring. He has it up for sale right now, PM me if anyone is interested.

It was not even close to being stored correctly. The battery being connected is probably an indicator that it has a full tank of gas too, and don't expect the brakes to work either. I can imagine every seal and bushing in the entire car is dry rotted. The wheels were probably sold off years ago when someone was in a pinch.

It's like the original owner forgot they purchased the car or something.
I think it would be safe to say all fluids need replaced and I wouldn't trust any of the hoses either.

LOL but that car was state of the art when me and my friends were in high school. We all had those and 5.0 GT's. I'd love to have one even if they are slow by todays standards.

I was in high school when these things came out,my dream car back then was an '87-'89 Bright Blue IROC with the Gray cloth interior,TPI 350,and no T-tops
I'd love to find an all original one today, even though they are slow by todays standards, like you said...back then they were "state of the art" and the car to have.

When ever your V6 is ready just let us know..I'm sure there is a 502 from that generation that would be more than happy to race your V6 car for pink slips But as long as its your dream ...it will always be your dream :p

I never tire of watching that video. We were helping the owner's employee freshen this car up in a thread on TGO. At the same time, I was looking for a new hood insulation pad for my '83 Crossfire. I had searched for months for a new original part. Nothing anywhere. I bought a couple of crappy repro's off of ebay, but I wasn't happy with them.

One day, I opened the "4 mile IROC" thread on TGO and the guy restoring it had ordered a hood insulation pad for this IROC. He posts a picture and says, why does this one have a big hole in the middle with an aluminum heat shield on one side and what do I do with this thing now? Apparently, he had accidentally gotten the VERY LAST new in the box from GM Crossfire hood insulation. I immediately PM'd him and bought it!
