I can understand wanting to have all the bells and whistles and appearance packages and if gas is an issue and you need to stick with the V6 so be it. However it would make a heck of a lot more sense to wait it out and build some more equity in your car and trade it for a used 2ss with a lower payment so you can have a powerful V8 and really enjoy the car you truly want and have money for gas...

I had a 2008 WRX and fell in love with the camaro and could have easily gotten a 2010 SS. However I waited for the right time and got lucky and got a 2012 2ss 45th Anniversary convertible with 10kmiles for 36k. I'm very happy I waited. I now have the car I wanted and waited 2 years for, plus I have money left in my pocket for mods and to do the things I enjoy.

Patients.. wait for it... wait for it...

Same here. But if you absolutely have to have the RS package now... go for the lower miles.

And if you drive that many miles each week, I assume much of it is highway. If so, you really won't notice that much difference in MPGs between a LT and a SS.

I guess waiting is not in the cards for you. If I were you I would pay on what I owe and then save for something in the future.

My SS gets 20, about 40% driven on the street. So, not too bad really.

Get what YOU want, what YOU need and what fits YOUR budget. It's nobody else's money but YOURS. It doesn't matter what others think you should have.

I really was more or less asking about the trim and how it looked..I do appreciate all the help. Regardless, I know an SS is not in the cards for me right now :p

I may go with the one with IOM and 19k

Yes but he was asking about choosing between 2 V6 models and getting suggestions about SS models not what he was asking.

Also, I should have clarified...I CAN afford an SS insurance and payment. It's the gas I'm concerned about. This will be my DD, and when I had my Sierra 1500, I was paying at least $100-120 a week, and it'll be about the same for this one.

I'll get a Z28 someday hopefully (if they come out like we think), but I'm really wanting an RS right now.
How many miles do you commute daily? That should be something u should ask yourself and do the math according to gas prices aroynd you.

60 highway, 20 town if I only go to work and back. If I have to run errands or do anything in my town (stop/go central) its 60/40.

Like I said, my Sierra was costing me $100-$120 a week, I'm not sure that I even want to go back paying that. In my 2LT it's been $60-70 a week. I've cut down at least $175-200 a month

Just keep the car you have right now. When you need new tires, buy a takeoff set of wheels and tires here for $1200 (you spend close to that on tires anyways if you buy just tires from a dealer/tire shop). If you really want the HID's you can get them for $700 here.

That's true..I just assume actually having stock RS and less miles will look better than more miles, standard 2LT, no stripe, and minor accident report..

In a few years that accident report will mean very little if they did a good repair and you still cannot tell where the damage was..

I would keep your car and go to gen5diy.com to get the stuff you want.
Gen5diy.com has all the goodies available in conversion plug and play kits that it seems like you want.

You can always find the wheels on this site use for fairly inexpensive if you NEED oem wheels.

Trading in your newer 2LT for an older 2LT just to get some halos, wheels, and color matched stuff makes little to no sense.
