I'll admit I've lost interest in the myfitnesspal app for awhile now so I think that will be my starting point.
The good news is that I fit in shorts I haven't worn for over 5 years so who knows. Maybe I need to readjust to my home food and give myself a few days to see if that makes any difference.
Not giving up though...

I'm sure you've heard the term yo-yo dieting. You've got to stay committed and you will get results. Now and then a cheat day is acceptable and if on a low carb diet it's needed but consistency is the ticket. Stick with it, if you goof up just put it behind you and keep focused on your goal and you will be successful.

What the heck kind of question is that? LOL. Look around you, the average person at any height is way over weight. Go by what you want to look like and leave the number out of it,

I am really happy to have my dance exercize class back. We have been having extended classes (especially yesterday) to remember/relearn old routines & learn some new & really hard ones. I have not been on the scales yet but my muscles have been sore & I feel skinnier. It sure is a fun way to exercize.

Hi Ruby!! Keep it up girl!! I used to hate sore muscles,
now I look forward to it crazy!!

I need a little help - when I'm done excercising about 7:00am
I'll have a protein shake. About 8-10 oz. I am starving, so I
thought maybe I could add something to the drink to sustain
me a little longer. I'll have a yogurt at about 10:00am -
any ideas of what could be added???

You girls learn well. LOL

Ruby is right you can add some oatmeal to it and a healthy fat. You can use flax seed (ground) or even a small amount of nuts. The oatmeal and fat will fight off hunger for a while and should be included in a healthy diet. Just make sure you watch the calories in the fats and fit them into the overall meal planning.

Just finished all 32 pages. Congrats to all of you who have made the decision to permanently change your lives.

There is some good info in the pages (also some garbage).

My shake now is just coconut milk and GNC's protein powder
Oatmeal will probably work. I eat that first thing on non-workout
days and don't experience the same level of hunger. I'll give it
a try.

What a great place this is -have a problem, ask a question -get
some help

Maybe add some frozen fruit too: bananas (I slice & freeze them myself), strawberries, peaches, blueberries, cherries, mango, etc). I mix it up for some variety. You get great antioxidants, fiber, vitamines & a good way to get in your servings of fruit.

Adding fruit to a shake is ok but you must consider a few things. Your shake has coconut milk which is a simple carb and high in sugar, fruits are a simple carb and high in sugar and these ingredients don't do much to help hunger, in fact, may work the opposite. A complex carb such as the oatmeal and a healthy fat such as the flax seed or nuts will help curb hunger and digests slower than a shake with a high content of simple carbs.

A quick question that may help balance things out. What are you drinking/eating before your workout and after your workout when and what is your next meal (not including the post workout shake)?

I can't eat before or I'd throw up

I have the shake when I'm done and then about 3 hours
later have my yogurt. That time in between in murder
sometimes because I get soooo hungry. The oatmeal my
just do the trick, especially as you pointed out the coconut
milk. I'm going to give it a try Monday.

No wonder you're so hungry, if I went that long without food I would die lol.

Idealy, you would consume some sort of protein/simple carb 20 min or so before your workout Your coconut milk/protein shake is perfect) and then a protein/starchy carb post workout. If you have a hard time keeping anything down pre workout then adding the oatmeal and a healthy fat to your shake will most likely fight of the hunger. Also, if you add ice to your drink before blending it will thicken it up and add volume.

I'm glad they brought you're classes back. Its great to have a workout you really really enjoy! And sore is a good thing!

Well in my world, we finally got our home gym done and everything moved in. That and my parents were AWESOME enough to buy me a Rogue Fitness barbell and plates set along with a squat rack! So 5am crossfit 3-5 days a week, cardio 2-3 days a week, and practice on form at home! Gotten better on my fruit intake, but I miss it. Haven't been on a scale in ages, but who cares. I see the results of my hard work, and that what matters.

I added 1/8 cup oatmeal today and that helped. I'll try it a couple
more times to make sure. I like the idea of adding ice, but I make
the shake and take it with me, so it would be water by the time I
drink it - good suggestion though
