Went to the track with my stock Auto 2ss tonight

Well, no tricks, just went down to the track and made about 6 passes (for the most part hot lapping because I got there late and it closed early) and went home, my best pass was a 13.38 @ 104.8 mph with a 2.01 60 foot time. OMG I can't wait to tune this thing, but I found some bugs in the HPtuners Beta software so I have to wait for them to sort them out first. My Camaro 2ss is completely stock, and I had about 3/4 tank of gas, I didn't touch anything, just put it in Sport mode and went down the track for a baseline.
We are getting close to finishing our prototype intake system that goes over the radiator, the concept and design is complete, just have to wrap up some odds and ends and then of course do a bunch of testing to make sure it performs, you guys are going to like it, I promise...

No, COMPLETELY STOCK, tune and everything. I bet you it will be 12's with just a transmission tune. The trans stock calibration sucks for drag racing.

I ran mine last night too but it was 85-degrees and humidity was nasty. My best run was 13.8 and there was a Charger SRT8 (w/exhaust) who ran 13.9. I raced heads up with my buddy in his Challenger R/T and had him by a second every time. He was having a little trouble launching, but even once he hooked I was pulling him hard. My best 60' was 2.147 (14.0 run). My best et was 13.86 (2.2 60').

As the OP said you will love it!! Unless you don't like mobs of peolpe because it draws so much attention everywhere I go. Everybody is in awe over the design and detailing put into the car. It is absolutely beatiful.

I thought these were 12.9 cars w/o any external mods (tune's included)?? Is GM blowing smoke??

No GM isn't smoiing but they also didn't get 12.9 runs in summer weather. Elevation will affect ETs as well. Wait until fall returns and you'll stock cars hitting 12's.

The L99 car is supposed to run a 13.2 @ 105, according to the Chevy website for the camaro. The LS3 is supposed to run a 12.9 @ 111. So the original poster is right in the ballpark. A 1.9 60' time would give you a 13.2, based on his 2.0 60' time.

Right on.

12.9, not gonna happen unless you go to ATCO Raceway in winter where the D/A is 5000 ft below sea level.

The track I ran it at was 1000 ft above sea level, and it was a humid night here, and mid 70's on the temp. Not the best conditions, but I wanted to see what she had stock. I think someone can run a 13.1 stock in the right conditions for sure too, but this is what my car did on this night. Now we are still testing induction systems and waiting for an adjustment from HPtuners to tune it.

ya, the LS3 is the one that runs the 12.9's, not the L99. you will be a bit closer to 12.9 with a stock LS3 compared to the L99, depending on driving ability

And in the long run, if you plan on modding, the L99 will prevail, trust me, it's just a matter of time, it is a better design for this. VVT, valve reliefs already cut into the pistons, 6speed automatic that with tuning alone will shift better than a 4l60 with a shift kit in it. Stay tuned guys...
I ran the car to get a baseline before any mods were done, so you guys can see what my car did stock and as we do r&d you can see what the mods we do will get you based on what my car did stock, no tricks.
