Someone give me some pointers before I embarrass myself tomorrow. First time on DRs.

I have ZERO experience with DRs, but I have 305 45 MT ET streets that I plan on running at the 1/8th Test n Tune tomorrow. The car just got 3.91s installed yesterday, and I did the break-in, and changed the fluid.

I have NEVER done a burnout in my car, let alone a burnout in a RWD car. So I did research. I watched videos. I figure "ohh that seems easy enough". So I went to a private road and tried to practice. Both times I tried, I completely killed the car (stalled it).

What am I doing wrong? I rev the car up to about 2500 rpm and slip the clutch until I feel the tires spin, and then hit the brake, but I don't know if I'm hitting the brake too hard or not getting the RPM up high enough?

Someone help me out!!

You have to be very aggressive with DRs.
Try 15-18lbs or air pressure and leave at 4500-5000 rpm is your clutch can take it.
When you do your burnout use the same RPM, 2nd gear if you can. 5000rpm, come off the clutch and onto the brake.

Also, just take the fuses out when you go to the track so not have to mess with the TC.

I am not on dr's but I have been taking the 40 amp abs fuse out of mine at the track because if I don't my car will fall on its face when I hit second due to the abs kicking in when it shakes the tires. Doing this will disable the tc and stability but some have said you could experience brake fail. I don't see this happening though as it is still a hydraulic system. Just without the abs pump running.
