GM Card thanks, Figures...

I have been on these forums talking about using GM card points and hearing stories about people getting "topped off". I have bought 3 new cars in the last 2 years. Actually 4 if you count my 2010 1LT. I used GM Card points everytime and not once was I topped off.
Now that I finally have all the cars I love and need, what comes in the mail..,YOU GOT IT. I get a letter in the mail that says:

Congratulations you have been topped off and it includes a $1000 private offer for a total of $3000.
The top off was about $800.

Figures....

Trade or not to trade...that is the question.

The GM card gives you 5% back that you can use tpoward the purchase of any GM vehicle. So for instance I had $1200 in GM card "points". They (GM) added another $800 to make it a total of $2000.00.

For a limited time only of course.

I got my "topped off" offer yesterday. I get this offer nearly every January. I used it five years ago when I bought my wife her 2007 Pontiac G6 GTP.

I want a Hot Wheels edition Camaro in the worst way, but I don't think that's going to happen.

screwed over

I just got screwed over. I hardly use my gm card. I purchased a new 2013 cruze and used my big $101 savings. Less than two weeks later guess what comes in my mail box my $2000 top off bonus:(

I received this earlier in the week. Can we combine the GM Card discount with the Chevrolet.com $1000 Private offer?

What is th max amount GM allows you to earn/redeem toward the purchase of a Camaro? Thinking of getting th card so whenever I mov up to a V8 I will have a good amount saved.

The standard redemption limit for a 2013 Camaro is $1500 - https://www.gmcard.com/core/vehicles/ra-2013

The offer says you may use it plus the $1000 Private offer. Does not mention limits or restrictions other than no ZL1.

The private offer is able to be combined. I did it in Oct. At that time they limited the card bonus to $1500 on Camaro. That bonus varies per model and day based on inventory, per GM. I just got my card top off letter last night. They topped mine by adding $1700 to it. Wish we were in the market for the wife. $3k off is super.

The Zl1 exclusion is only about the Private Offer .

The GM Card points are good for any GM car/truck .

I have just checked my resources available and we can confirm that it should be compatible to use with the Chevrolet.com $1000 private offer.

Please note: Incentive eligibility is based on a number of factors including program dates, credit approval and geographical residency. Please check with your dealer for further details.

Only one Private offer can be used per transaction. The card bonus/top off, (which I got too) comes with a $1000 private offer as part of the package, but you can not combine that AND the online Private Offer too. That would be using 2 Private Offers and that will not work.

That is the usual policy but not the case on this offer. It says you can use both. GM cards do not constitute a private offer. I have used GM card points in conjunction with $1k offer in the past.

I have the offer now and along with the card bonus is ALSO a $1000 private offer included with it. This is the point I am trying to make. You will not be able to use 2 different private offers. Yes you can use the card along with 1 private offer as I just did on my 2013 2SS. But you will not be able to ALSO use the $1000 private offer that pops up on chevrolet.com too. That's what I am saying.

Thats what happened to me two years ago with mine and my top-off,the offer then ended Jan.31st,my car wasn't built until Feb.2nd,so no top-off for me :(
I did get another one a few weeks ago just like you guys, but I'm not in the market for a new Silverado until the new ones come out later this year.

I will never forget that one because it was at Christmas time but I never got picked for the "free 2004 GTO deal". The current rebates plus that GM card bonus amounted to a discount of $13,000 to $15,000+ (depending on the sales region of the country you were in) off of the MSRP. I'm still sick that GM skipped me on that Card bonus !
