So I got home to the Ark exhaust sitting in my hallway. This thing is massive and super heavy!

Getting the exhaust and subs installed tomorrow morning!

Exhaust and subs being installed right now...

Stripes and blackout kit is scheduled to arrive today!
Halo HIDs should be here friday
and the bumper will be here monday.

Gonna try to get everything installed as soon as I get it, but its sometimes hard with my schedule and everything. Cant wait to get this all done, but it feels great to get it all started now!

Subs Installed!

The fabric around the box doesn't match the interior, because it was built for my friend's BMW Z3, thats why its a little ripped as well. But the sound is fantastic!

The lettering and logo on the amp lights up blue, but the car wasn't on so its not visible.

Ark N-II exhaust installed!

All I have to say is WOW, what an improvement. It sounds amazing. I decided on this exhaust only through other peoples reviews as well as youtube videos. But this is a monster in person. I cant say enough about it. I feel like I'm driving a whole different car! I could not recommend this exhaust more.

First picture is of the weak stock exhaust and the rest are with the Ark exhaust installed.

Wow man! That exhaust with the stock set up looks like a match made in heaven! So what kind of sound were you looking for again and was that the full catback? I probably can't afford it anytime soon but it would be good to know which exhaust to put on my list!

I wanted a really aggressive loud sound, but with no rasp. I wanted it to have a low, deep rumble but with a hint of exotic sound. It's exactly what I was looking for. The guy at the shop who installed it said it sounds like muscle and F1 had a sexy baby. He wasn't familiar with Ark exhausts and said he was blown away by how good it sounds.

And yes it is the full catback. It's not cheap, they're usually around 1400 to 1600 but I got it for 900 from an Ark special. I definitely recommend it if you have the funds!

I haven't installed them yet! Got them in the mail today, but probably won't have the time to install them until friday. Wish me luck as I'm putting them on myself!

Best of luck man. I'm currently trying to do my own afterburner tail lights XD. It's not going to well. But I'm definitely going to add that exhaust to my build now. Thanks man!

P.S: A pair of extra hands are always nice when doing work on your car. Even if all they can do is cheer you on or get your tools/water haha.

Oh I totally agree haha. I'm excited that the stripes/smoked kit have arrived, but I'm not looking forward to putting them on and I don't want to mess them up! I'll probably have a friend with me to keep me company and give their opinion.

And trust me, you won't be disappointed with the exhaust, you will love it like I do!

So i got home at around 7:15 today. I decided to start on my smoked tail lights (bad idea). Half an hour later I realized, hey, it's almost night time. I smoked my reverse lights and the two left tail lights and then it started to get dark real fast. Shouldn't have started that late but oh well. It's very hard to smoke your tail lights when its dark outside, whadaya know. Anyway, I had to finish so I parked another vehicle behind mine and used their headlights as a source of light. Still not really adequate for the level of detail I was doing but I finished it, it just took about five times as long trying to get everything to fit right. Ended up working alright I hope.

Still have to do the rear and front side marker lights, at least those won't be too hard. Doing the tail lights sucked. It'll be worth it in the end though. I'll post some pictures tomorrow when I finish all the lights.

My Halo HIDs come tomorrow and my ZL1 bumper on monday. I want to get them both done at the same time, so I may not be able to take them to a shop until wednesday or friday. :(

But overall having a lot of fun modding my car!

I feel like me and you are mod brothers haha. I know what you mean by starting late but the feeling of getting it done is so great. I'm just waiting on my hood for a major transformation.

The drone is noticeable, but I actually like it and thats what a stereo system is for :p

The ark is very aggressive and loud, it's one of the loudest exhausts on its own. So if you're in the market for an exhaust like Ark, you should be expecting drone anyway. It's definitely not as bad as many other exhausts though. And when I'm driving home in the late hours of the night, its very easy to keep the volume down so that you won't wake the neighbors, as much as I am tempted to! lol

So today, once again, didn't get the time until after daylight to do any smoked light mods to my car. Problem is, you're not supposed to put them on when the weather is over 80 degrees. And its pretty consistently around 95 degrees all day until around 7-7:30 and then I have about half an hour of usable sunlight. My garage is full of junk so I cant do it in there, either. Oh well, I'll get to it eventually.

Still haven't tackled the hood spears, side spears, and side gills yet. But I will get to it eventually.
