used 2010 Camaro 2SS

http://www.schompbmw.com/used/Chevro...52b6175bfa.htm

Seems like a pretty good deal considering everything it has, cheapest 2SS i've seen. Is that a good price? Not really wanting to tradein but that's tempting.

It has 45k miles, that's a lot for an SS. Not to mention that means it was a DD in CO winter.

45K miles and it might be a 2009 model.
Overhead console looks like it has jizz all over.
Something smells fishy.

Heck that's damn near half off of what it cost new. Yeah the milage isn't great, but if it's in nice shape that's as cheap as you're ever gonna get yourself into a 2SS.

You'd sell it quickly at that price. Heck, when they start selling below 20 grand I might be tempted to buy a second one myself!

Might... but it certainly is worth looking into. I'm sure it's not as nice as a new one, but it looks pretty clean to me for the money.

Because it has armour-all overspray on the overhead console from the detail shop kid's sloppy clean up? OK. The interior looks pretty damn clean for 40K miles if you ask me... If i was shopping for a 2SS with a budget I'd be looking into it, that's all I'm saying.

The absence of backup sensor confirms that its a mid year model build ( Pre Nov 09), the fender chicklets are missing so its probably not a early year model build either. The substance on the sunroof controls trim can be cleaned with nominal effort..............if the pic's of the exterior paint, and interior leather surfaces are representitive of the over all condition, I'd say at the listed price is a pretty fair deal for a car less than halfway through its power train warranty period and thats the area that would put a dent in the wallet with out any protection. Obviously with the warranty, its a mute point. You might even haggle the dealer down another grand or so, and really come out on top~

I'd think the significance of 45k is that it's probably been run pretty hard, most likely abused; by that point. you really don't know what your getting.

Heck if milage alone is indicative of being abused.....................then Casper is ready for the junk heap .............at neary 40k, and purchased, July 11th 2010 with delivery milage only. The car in the ad was apparently titled to the purchaser sometime around June of 09......a year earlier than Casper, with only 5K more on the odometer. I can assure you, that Casper has never been abused, The oil and services are per schedule. I've never spun a tire ( The Factory shoes were just replaced at a little over 39k and still had some use left on them. This can be verified by a fellow forums member/ Monster Todd), never had the Nannies off, used the paddle shifters once. Its laughable , the suggestion that a automobile with 15k a year milage use has reached the end of its longevity......................

Why does that (mileage) mean ran hard, abused?! I have nearly 48,000 on mine and the only "hard" run on it was two laps of auto cross at CamaroFest III in Indy. Driving cross country several times adds up miles fast, but are "easier" miles than stop and go city driving.

Op, as long as the car is clean that is a goo deal. I was looking at trading mine in for a 1LE and was offered just over 25k. You never know what the reason it was traded in for that price.

I have seen crappy cars offered for high prices, and veritable gems sold for cheap. All other cars fall somewhere in between. I would NEVER disqualify a car just because the price is great. If that were the way things were done, a "smart" dealer would just jack the price up on this car by $10Gs, and watch people scramble all over themselves to buy it. Just because the price is low is not a valid reason to decide that it must be a trick, a rip-off.

Due diligence is a must, as with any automotive purchase: CarFax, fine- toothed comb inspection, probably even a full inspection by an independent mechanic. Have the seller give you a decent warranty. If those line up, then buy the car, and return to this site afterwards to boast of the really good deal you negotiated!

I would certainly give it a shot...

Doesn't the first pic look like there is a small dent in the top front of the right fender?
