Yes we've seen and talked about that build before. it's still a cool looking concept.

I want to see this car running already. But I see them turbos causing a lot of damage because of location.

The heat on any underhood mount is horrendous. Looks cool, but man is it hard on everything.

We do both mid mounts and underhood mounts for most any application if anyone wants this.

Love the look. Kinda like the IN YOUR FACE TT when you pop the hood. Enough heat to blister the hood? Now that gretchen has made big numbers with the lfx someone might build one like this that runs.

Are there water cooled turbos?

There are air, oil, and water cooled turbos. But that doesn't matter, the hot side of the turbos are meant to run extremely hot. This is because of the exhaust that powers the turbo.

Yeah I never really learned much about turbos. On the water cooled turbos would the only super hot part be the exhaust piping? Or would the body still be smoking hot?

ZL1 style vents would be right above or pretty close,to those turbo's. They look like they are mounted awfully high, maybe they can go lower and not so close to hood and eng. cover, but then again the ZL1 vents direct water to where the turbos are located.

No, the hot side that the exhaust gasses run through to spool the turbos gets red hot under boost and yes, it can and does blister or discolor hood paint as well as cooks power steering fluid, etc. It is for looks alone and the only advantage is the oil return does not need a scavenge pump.

For any that want, we do ANY configusration of turbo for most any vehicle on the road, so if someone wants this call and schedula....but be aware of the heat issues. Power will be excellent and a turbo blanket and ceramic coated hot side pipes will help a tone as well as a good head extractor hood.
