Camaro for Corvette?

Would you..will you...are you going to trade your 5th gen for the new C7?
I LOVE my Camaro but I have been a long time Corvette fan and think I am in love again.

I won't. I prefer the looks of the camaro over the corvette. But there is no doubt that the Corvette both new and old are some amazing performing and some good looking cars.

For that money go with the ZL1 or wait for Z06. I do agree though GM did a great job! My girlfriend and I watched it last night.

If I didn't have a kid. I'd trade in a heartbeat. Corvettes are better cars then Camaros hands down. I'm sure I'll catch heat for that, but the truth hurts. I have a supercharged SS and I'd love to have a C7. I just need the backseat for the little one.

I'd prob have to settle for the base. I am 26 and couldn't afford much more than that.
I love my Camaro to death I have had it almost four years... But that vett... Damn.
Interested in seeing the performance specs

I'll agree that the C7 is sweet....but I'll wait until the 6th gen is out before even thinking of switching over. If they did this good of a job on the Vette, I'm sure the 6th gen will be just a awesome.

I may need the back seat for kids... Ill get a vette after I have kids, and those kids get licenses.

Unless I get rich before then for some reason

+1.

A little thing called life in the way of buying one of these now. Maybe in 5-6 years I could buy a used one - maybe.

Call me crazy but In terms of looks IMO Corvette C7 < 5th Gen Camaro. As far as everything else the Corvette is far superior obviously. If I could afford one I probably wouldn't buy it, but who knows unless I actually test drive it. But not to worry, i don't think ill ever have 60k+ to ever dump on a car.

I like the way the C7 looks. I could see the Camaro and Corvette in my garage in a few years.

Nope! I already have an angry car that doesn't like turning. I took my uncle's ZR1 for a spin and I compare it to getting on a horse only to hear the owner scream "WAIT! We haven't broke that animal yet!" The bruises tend to linger after a buck or 2.

I would get one if I did not have small children. Even though the wife has the SUV and does most of the driving, I need a back seat.

Almost every corvette unveiling I have seen, I was not impressed...until the C6. I loved it from the start...to me the C7 is even nicer, more refined looking. It may look European, but is that a bad thing? I love the lines of the car...reminds me of a Ferrari 599...for a quarter or less of the $...so Yes, I would trade/buy/borrow the C7 for my Camaro. To me it is about lines not HP...so even though the ZL1 has more HP, the new C7 looks better, IMHO.

That's why it has a hatch back. Thats where you stuff the kids. I barrowed my parents C4 hatchback while I was on assignment in Virginia. I had two roommates in the barricks and was the only one with a car. One of the roommates and myself were headed out to a bar and bumped into the other roommate. we told him where we were headed and he asked to go. I told him we only had two seats. He crawled into the hatch for a 25 minute ride to the bar.
