I just found a new 2012 2SS/RS Synergy edition (OK, it had 196 miles on it because the salesman that sold it to me loved it) at a dealership on Sunday, and my husband and I were wondering about this. Thanks for the info!

Getting the 2010 numbers will be a bit more difficult. It requires that we use another type of database - I'm working on 2013s right now.........

Very much appriciate production volume #'s. Apparently my 2011 2LT is 1 of 92 out of 106,987.

Would be nice if someday there was a database that included options for our gen 5 Camaro's. I also own a 1998 Riviera and a few years ago on a Riviera forum a link to a site was posted (site no longer available) that you entered you vin# and received pages of info including # of autos with breakdown of options. What I found was my 1998 Riv., build date Aug. 08, 1997, was 1 of 3 out of 10,953, 1998 Riviera's produced & optioned my way.

Strange but true, the 1998 Riv. was special ordered before the '98's when in to production and made 1st week of Aug. 97; I also special ordered my 2011 Camaro before the '11' models went into production and was made 1st week of Aug. 2010.

Options, or lack of options, make a difference in the rarity of our Camaro's. For instance: My 2011 2LT coupe / non-RS / V6 w A6 / Summit White & Beige Leather = 92 of 106,987 total production. However, out of the 92, wonder how many were produced without the sunroof option, produced with the optional 19-inch polished wheels? Fewer than 92?

Not sure of the difference between Camaro's sold in the US or sold in Canada as all were made in Canada. However, out of the 2011 Camaro's 106,987, 4,225 were "built for Canada". If there is a difference between 2011 Camaro's built for the US and those built for Canada that would make my auto a little more different. Then take into account it is 1 of 92 before options considered (no sunroof plus 19" polished rims), plus 1 of 4,225 "built for Canada" my 2011 2LT might be a one of a kind here in Canada.

My Camaro is special to me, would be just fun facts to know if rare and I understand "rare" does not make it more valuable. If when you special order a new Camaro you can learn date & time it started on the assembly line and date and time it came off assembly line, why not a GM database to list options 'built' like GM did for the 1998 Riviera's based on the auto vin #?

Canadian Build Counts

Is there anyway to know how many of the 4,225 builds for Canada in 2011 are convertibles? And of those convertibles how many are 2SS and black?

You can contact the GM heritage dept and for $75 they will give you all the stats on your vin. That is how I found out my vert is 1 of 121 identical to it in all of Canada.

PS. where in NF do you live. I am from Port Blandford, currently living in BC.

Thank you for providing this information! I have 1 of 12 Honor and Valor special orders in 2012. It is victory red outside inferno orange inside. My question is what significance would the honor and valor package ad to the value? I would not think much, as it was not an option package, but rather value pricing for the military. It is a 2ss/RS convertible. I love this car! It is my first camaro, after quite a few vettes, and no it's not for sale!
