Hill Assist Disable

I know that CAGS can be disabled via a tune. Can Hill Assist on a 2013? (or adjusted to not be as sensitive?) I personally do not like it as it comes from the factory. In case it matters this is a ZL1.

Try over in the GM V8 Gen 4 section on HPtuners.com/forum.

I haven't seen anything on it yet, but maybe Chris can work on it in the beta.

I test drove a 2013 v6 the other day, and I kept stalling it over and over. At first, I though it was just a really sensitive clutch, since the catch point is much sooner than my 2010. But after a while i started to think, maybe it's the hill assist. I didn't drive it long enough to test my theory. But looking back, it had to be that. I stalled this car 8 times on my test drive. Meanwhile, I drive a 2010 stick camaro every day for 3 years, and maybe once a month I'll stall it backing up my driveway.

Very bad experience with hill assist. Was downtown and had to climb a hill in traffic. stalled 3 times, got mad and Think I roasted the clutch. finally made it up the hill with lots of embarrassement. How can this hill assist be desabled ?? can the dealership do it ? Reprogramming ? cut a few wires ? Does anyone have any insight on this issue ?

If you read the last couple pages it was found replacing the sensor with a earlier one disables hill assist without a tune or affecting the warranty.

Not an earlier one, one from the automatic is what I read.

Replacing the yaw sensor under the center console cover with one from an automatic will disable the hill start assist. There is a thread on it in the DIY section on this site.
