Camaro 6th Gen vs Corvette C7

After seeing the C7 on Barrett Jackson tonight, I think I am going to have a tough decision to make in a few years. The C7 is beautiful

If it's any indication of Chevrolet's attention to detail, performance, and design moving forward...that bodes well for the 6th-generation Camaro, and I'd say you're right: if both fit your lifestyle - it will probably be a very difficult decision.

I have to write the obligatory, both are great in their own way, comment though. Because they are.

I'm just very happy that they're both Chevys.

At least if you (or any of us who have a 5th gen already as well) get the C7, you'd still be an owner of a fine Camaro5 as long as you don't trade it in or sell. That's what I'd like to do... add the new Stingray while still having the Camaro. Can't wait to see it live. My emotions/impulse will take over...

Camaro will be outclassed in every possible aspect, just like the 5th gen camaro is outclassed by the current corvette.

I've always wanted a Vette but couldn't get one because i had to raise my 2 sons and needing a back seat and all. My youngest is old enough to drive now so my next car will be the new Vette. Totally looks awesome in pictures. Can't wait to see one in person. Now to double up on my current Camaro payments so when i trade it in the Vette won't cost so much

Still at least a year away from more detailed scoop... alpha platform to start for the 6th gen. If the small-block V8 option disappears, it will be a monumental disappointment.

Agreed but it wont be as bad as it currently is. I think the new Vette is going to be 3300lbs and would not be surprised if the Camaro is only 3500lbs seeing that it will be on the Alpha platform. It will be more like it was in the C5 and 4th gen days.

As the new Corvette looks like a Nissan GTR with a Ferrari front end.
At least the interior still looks pure Corvette;like a 1990 C4...
Of course the Corvette will run away from the Camaro.
600 lbs lighter, more torque because of VVT and better aerodynamics.
But except for the track or on the autobahn who cares since both are way too fast in 75mph America...
I agree with the fast and furious part just look at the rear diffuser that is on the Camaro. That is the only part of the car I dislike.I do like the body lines on the new Vette, but as a whole some of the vents(though functional) look as if they do not belong.A precursor to a 6th gen Camaro we will have to wait and see.

The rear reminds me of a Volt and I also think the front looks like a Ferrari. They should have done the equivalent of the 5th gen Camaro, say a 2014 version of the 64 StingRay.
