Hello Babylamb

Thanks... Yea that exactly what I am doing. I figured a rear wheel drive car would not be so great in snow. I used to own a few as a kid. I wanted to see if there were many known issues. Which I have not seen so far. (like the issues the mustang as with its tranny). The things I wonder about with the camaro are how will I feel about that trunk space (especially as a photographer). I checked it out and I am able to fit all my current gear in trunk. The other issue is how will I feel about the limited sight lines in a car I drive everyday in NY.
I am thinking its something I would just adapt to. I do a fair amount of driving. 18,000 miles a year. So yea I want to make sure. design wise I love the car.

Sure that would be cool.

As far as the trunk goes yea I already talked to the audio company I deal with about subs with narrow enclosures. I took all my gear down to a local dealer to make sure my camera gear fits in the trunk. Although I am always buying new gear so not a lot of room to grow though. (back seat? )

Originally I was looking to lease the camaro. But lease options kinda suck. So I am saving money and paying off one debt before I put my butt in one later this year. I was also originally thinking V6 cuz of the amount of driving I do.
But I think the part of me that loves the V8 sound has woken up and wont go back to sleep. lol
Plus I cant customize a lease much.

Where abouts on LI are you?
I live in Huntington Station by the mall.

When do these meets normally take place?
I normally work most weekends which keeps me from making a lot of cool events.

Its not for the faint of heart. After almost 20 hours of driving I was overwhelmed when I finally arrived.
Between people driving like rabid animals, Not having the slightes idea of WTF im going relying entirely on Gps. A zillion road signs. Potholes,,, Potholes everywhere! Paralel parking, just think about your cars with their pointy noses, wide hips and angled tail, just the thing for bumper to bumper parking..Im sure everyone here wants to hang one of those heavy, ugly bumper guards on....Not to mention the constant stereotypical fear of getting car jacked, or getting your radio boosted...(Its actually pretty safe)
On the other hand, a freshly washed and waxed black camaro looks absolutely Bad Ass on the city streets..
Thumbs up to you guys in NYC..
I drive my car to BMCC in TriBeCa everyday. I love driving by and seeing everyone's face light up when they see my car. Especially in time square. People can't help but admire my car. I even give them a quick rev, and even the cops give me a thumbs up. LOL! I love NYC!

I fit my entire studio in my trunk... including autopoles, softboxes and a beauty dish. It's all about organization and spatial relations haha you can do it! Especially when you fold down the back seats, it works out well.

Thats cool baby lamb. I did spec it out and it does just fit all my stuff with a tiny bit of room to spare. Don't forget also need room for a sub.
Although I am always buying new gear and my bags seem to be expanding. lol.
I am tempted though to take out the back seats all together since they are basically worthless anyway and put sub back there. Something I will look into.

How many of you guys drive your camaros in NYC?
How do you feel about it?

I drove mine into NYC last weekend and almost had a stroke but I'm not a city driver.

lol.... I drive in the city often. At least once a week. Just something I wonder about also with those sight lines. Cuz the BQE and stuff can be nutty.

Hey any of you guys have experience with ground effects for the camaro?
Factory vs aftermarket?

If you don't lower it it will be a smoother ride through NYC but it really isn't that bad just hate pot holes and bumps with the drop springs

West side hwy is a blast

Hey John & Man in Black...

sounds good. I dont plan on lowering the car but I do want to put ground effects on it.
I have seen a few images with ones I love and want to find out which kits they are. Are if the factory ones are good.

I just ordered my tickets for the auto show. I heard they will be debuting the 2014 Camaro there.

Man in Black I look forward to making some of the meet ups. I would also love to meet up with locals. I am in Huntington Station NY. I have some ideas for a couple of minor customized things I would like to do. Well I have a lot of ideas, my imagination is vast. Still working on making my wallet as vast.
:-p
