Opinions on smarter payin options

I was jus thinkin of this scenario to myself and was wonderin what you guys would think is the smarter option?

Right now I drive a 2011 SS that I bought new and I pay 525 a month

Lets say I get a better job and have more money to put towards it and decide to purchase a 1LE

Should I double up on payments to pay off as much as I can even though I plan to trade or should I save my money for a bigger down payment for the 1LE?

I know theres a couple accountants and people who are smart with money

Thanks in advance

buy the 1le parts from gm and put on your car.

your going to lose more money from trading in a still very new car for the same model with extra options.

i pay cash for cars so i am not the best person to give advice

IMO, pay off current car with better paying job. Enjoy paid off car and tons of play money.

But hey, that's just the boring answer.

Like others said....put on the GM parts and/or buy aftermarkets parts and wheels. You'll probably out perform the 1LE for the same or less money. In the long run it will definately be cheaper considering the hit you'll take on the trade in.

If it just has to be the other way....my train of thought has always been to get out of debt. You're going to earn what...less than 1% intrest on your money sitting in the bank vs probably 4% - 6% you're paying on the car note. Best thing would be to do both, pay off the car and then save up for a big down payment.

To me it sounds like your reason for the job is to upgrade your car. And forgive me if I am wrong, but that does not sounds like a priority that should be on the top of the list for a better job. That is something that comes along with the privileges of obtaining a better paying job. I agree with the first reply.

Bump.

Anyone know if I will be able to obtain a new private offer for when the vehicle will be delivered, as it is being built to order and will be done end of February/Early March.

Pay it off. Don't get a 1LE. You'll just be bored with it in a couple of years anyway and be out shopping for the next greatest thing. Enjoy all the money you save. Mod money, party money...

No one can answer what will be available in the future. Many can't seem to get one when they need it, and many of us have never seen one, whether we actually needed it or not.
