How much would it cost to have stripes painted on?

I want the bumblebee stripes instead of the factory ones, and I would like them painted on. How much would this cost? (Hopefully, by now, GM is realizing that a lot of their Camaro customers prefer bumblebee's to the factory's)

Same here, I found a guy who is familiar with painting show quality cars and he said he will do it for $1200.00

Check around your area... also remember you get what you pay for (for the most part). A ballpark figure of $700-1000

Well I prefer the OEM over BB stripes but to each his own. I am being charged $900 for the whole thing, scuff, 3 coats of paint, 2-3 coats of clear, wet sand between each and final buff.

I have seen everywhere from $700 to $2500 I think it depends on location, type of paint, and who does them.

I was quoted $1500 here in SoCal. Seemed a bit steep to me. I'm going to keep looking around.

I had a paint guy ask if I wanted just the painted stripes clearcoated or the entire hood and trunk lid done with a second coat. He mentioned something called "pooling" effect where two layers of clearcoat could very slightly change the the look of the color. What do you guys know about this?

I had my stripes painted on already. Expect to pay around $1000. We watersanded the hood, trunklid, and spoiler. Laid out the stripes. Painted them on. 2 coates of clear. Watersanded the edges to get rid of the ridges on the edges of the stripes, and bury the stripes in the clear so it is nice and smooth. We are going to get rid of a few dust/dirt spots and polish them out this week.
The painted on stripes definetly look better than the flat black stripes, and they won't peel at the edges.
It is definetly alot more work than you would expect.
