2012 camaro v6 vs. ford f150 ecoboost

I got a friend with a ecoboost and for the people that don't know the f150 has a v6 with twin turbos. I looked it up a little bit and I know they are pretty quick. So what do you guys think will be the outcome?

They run mid-high 15's and trap 91-95 mph here. That should speak for itself. Lol.

Bet him $20 your car is faster and race to 100 on closed airstrip haha.

I believe Ford also offers different rear end gears as well on the F-150s. Those can make a little difference as well.

Best I've seen is a 14.8, so if you drive well it should be no problem. He will get you off the line, but you will catch up. Watch out for the stock regular cab 4x4s with the big gears, they are mid to high 14s. Of course, if it's tuned forget about it, you are toast.

If he has a 4X4 and you are racing from a dead stop and he is in 4wheel high you are toast. I have 1 and if I'm holding my brake and spoiling up those turbos this thing will snap your neck off. It will hook up and be gone. I have a chip, exhaust and a cold air kit.

Yeah, but stock, they just don't keep up. First 300 feet is a blast, but then the V6 will reel the F-150 in and pass it by. We are talking a good 5 car lengths difference.

Stock vs. stock I'd say the Camaro V6 should win. Those Eco-boosts are powerful, but an F-150 4x4 crew cab is also damn heavy.

Actually stock for stock, you are comparing a truck that traps 93 mph to a car that traps 100 mph. There is no comparison. The Camaro walks the truck.

Literally what you are saying is, "stock for stock, I'd say the Camaro V6 should beat a Rav4 V6." A Toyota Rav4 V6 runs the same 1/4 mile ET and traps as the stock EcoTurds. Strictly speaking stock. I walk my friend's EcoBoost F150 in my V6 honda accord, just saying.

A V6 Accord would give a V6 Camaro a run for its money. The manual trans V6 Accord is good for a high 5s 0-60 time.

Or perhaps a drag strip? I hear drag racing is popular at those types of tracks.

Or perhaps a drag strip? I hear drag racing is popular at those types of tracks.

M5board.com racing come to mind ? 1 mile straight show's which car is really faster. For example, Cobb stage 2 WRX can run 12.4-12.5 @ 106-107 mph, while stock Camaro SS can only do 12.9-13.1 @ 109-111ish. This is a reflection of how 1/4 mile racing is nearly fully determined by the initial 60 foot times, i.e. whichever car can launch better but not whichever is faster outright.
