L99 1/4 mile track pointers for tonight??

I'm going to the track tonight. L99, cai and ported throttle body are the only mechanical mods.

Stock Pirelli pzeros

Temps should be mid to low 60's.
What should I drop the tire pressure to?
What nannies should I leave on/turn off?

The only times I've been to the track were when I owned my ZO6 and of course it was a manual so this will be my first time with an automatic.

I suspect this will be a one and done. Track rules require convertibles that run better than 13.49 to have a roll cage or roll bar.

I'm not going to mod my car with those so once they kick me off the track I'm done.

Any pointers would be great! I want to be kicked out

Turn both nannies off. You do this by holding down the button for 7-10 seconds. You will see both lights appear on the dash.

I'd try low 20's psi. I would start at 25 and drop from there.

Put the car in "S"port mode but don't touch the paddles.

Burnout long enough to see then smoke but don't be John Force.

Bring the car up to 900/1000 rpm and leave from there.

Gd luck and have fun!!

He's got you covered, but I'd also watch coolant temps once the car gets too hot you'll see it run 1-2mph slower.

I just ran last night , Tires at 26 psi , do a burnout just long enough to see smoke , Turn both nannies off , Put the car in "S"port mode , leave between 1000 and 1200rpm's if the track is hooking and pop the hood between runs to get a good cool down. Also some octane booster will help too!!

True on the cool down between runs, and there are a few reasons it will slow down related to the tune.

1: on the factory tune, it starts pulling timing out at 86* and above on intake air temps.

2: The factory tune pulls 2* of timing at 212*f and it gets worse above that.

Now on the flipside, runs in the 176-195 range will have no timing pulled provided that the iats are lower than 86*, BUT 160 and below on the coolant temp and it will ADD timing at wot, and at 140* it will add 3* of timing because of the cool temp.

At least thats the setting in my stock 2010 L99 ecm file.

Looking back, my iats were always around 100* -120* at the start of the run because of the backup in the lanes in memphis.

Ok , is "S"port = shift mode? Newbie here, so we put it in shift mode but don't use the paddle shifters, just let it shift its self? Will it not hold the gear and bounce off rev limiter? Sorry for all the questions, can't wait till my track opens
