*Dyno Pics* VMAX CNC Throttle Body - Before & After Dyno Pulls From Our Dyno Day

Here are two dyno graphs from our dyno day here last Saturday. The baseline pass was performed, then we swapped throttle bodies with car still on dyno so test conditions were very close. Overall gains we saw was 8+ rwhp and 10+rwtq. Along with the throttle response that people rave about, we were quite happy with the results!!

Stay tuned we will be testing one on a boost car within the next two weeks..

nyr: We have one left in stock. Three sold overnight. Probably going to be a week+ on lead-time after this one goes.

key4: The top dyno graph was CAI only. The bottom dyno graph was CAI and catback.

I'd bet you are testing this with a ecs blower. Blow through on a TB upgrade usually don't make a lot. But heck man...let's see what you find. I have a theory coming from a turbo buick that something like this instead of a nw102tb, an adapter ring, and a fast 102 at about 10 psi on a blow through would make power worth doing. But I may be the only one dumb enough to try it. LOL. May happen this year.

We did the same test and had the same results. They work very well and is an easy way to add ponys and low end pick up under the curve.

I want the 102mm for my '12 SS LS3, but not for 400 bucks, man. What's the best deal to be had on this thing, anyone know?

Dont think you can get a 102mm setup for 400 bucks. the 102mm TB has to be ran with a 102mm intake.

Of course we'll be testing this with the ECS blower combination Can't really test it on my ride, not too fair lol. I prefer the stock intake manifolds under big boost, the FAST 102's seem to be good though, I've seen a couple of 90/92's come apart under boost

I'd like to get one on a roots-style supercharger, that is where you should see better gains overall than the forced centri-style.

axis: Just one pull each, normally I'd do more than that but this was during a dyno day that we already we're dyno'ing cars from 9AM-9PM at night. Don (Slowhawk) thankfully he was here street tuning 4 cars while Rodney and I were dyno'ing and/or installing TB's & Norris catch cans.

Ah ya that makes sense, although I did a quick google search at work that landed on a hit for that price from a vendor.... unreal that I can't find it now for some reason, but the search will be saved on my work laptop so I'll link it tomorrow....

Here we go...
BBK, seems pretty pricey although some of that cost has to be in the core return.

No core return on that and also you still need a 102mm intake which is more than the TB.

I would keep your core while you install it.. I've had NO success at all with BBK on the 78mm DBWs or the 78-90mm cable pulls. They look nice, and that's about it. Have not used the 102mm, but a word of caution.

Is the VMAX a direct bolt on, electronic TB?

What is the issue you've found with the BBK? Is it maybe mounting a cable bracket where none was intended or something?
