Ha ha, I only do that to friends who are Ford fans. Personally I like both cars, but I'm a diehard Chevy fan, born and bread. In fact after this last video my friend came up to me and said you know, I'm gonna go find a video where the Mustang beats the Camaro and post it on your page (facebook). I replied, oh your GT 500 is faster....in a straight line. He was like yeah, thats what I do (he drag races) I don't do those crazy curves and turns and whatever. We were both smiling the whole time.

Definitely not worth trolling or starting something as childish as that. It just makes me feel good to see Chevy win in comparisons like this.

Welcome "first" poster. It came close to beating (if they didn't have the missed shift it would have per the article) the GT500 around VIR with 236 less HP and at a savings of over $20K.

p.s. Conspiracy theorist believe the missed shift was to protect the image of the GT500

Lol, it does beat the boss...there is a reason ford was so determined to not offer up a Boss. I honestly believe the boss is dam close to the 1LE but Ford obviously doesnt want to show the world that an underpowered, overweight GM designed Camaro will edge it out for under $40k. One day we will Finally get a true comparison and the outcome will be close, for me not big enough difference to spend $6k more.

Oh,btw now that I have seen this video I cant get over not having one yet. I just might have to step up my schedule, but I feel I have to wait for the LS7 option....

Wrong. Willow Springs was never a 1.8, it was a typo on the website. It has always been 1.6, and every comparison they've done on that track has been 1.6. They cover it in this video. Welcome to the forum

The BOSS/LS has an established time at Streets of Willow Springs. It would have been easy enough for whoever tested the 1LE to use the 1.8 mile circuit and show without a doubt it would be quicker. They chose not to for some reason. Something tells me they did and didn't like the results.
