Hearts are breaking all over Camaro land tonight.

Now why are the outer lights yellow? Kinda detracts from the afterburner effect. I still like the angles from the back though, it doesn't seem to have lost much of its overall appearance.

And I really really like the angle in the second pic; it looks really pissed off.

oh well, gas cap isn't on top of haunches, looks great though. It fits with the curves of the car and blends in really well. I am really excited to see that front slot open, I would gladly give up the fuel door spot for open vents. No way that back light stays orange, gross. Probably some tests.
That thing looks pissed off!!! and ready to eat something, exactly what I wanted it to look like. Now those dodge and mustang people can't say THIS car looks like a catfish or a smiley face.

hooligan is right about those tail lamps, remember that mustang in the previous spy shots, had the same amber lens cover. Nothing to worry about

that front view shots from that angle makes the car look so damn mean.
this is tho the first spy car we seen with the yellow tail lights, but it does look to be another v6 version.

Well, Camaro designers, I am upset that you unfortunately had to kill off one of the best design details just because of stupid people. I know its out of your control, but really, that's heartbreaking. I wonder if the aftermarket will offer replacement panels and equipment to put it back in its proper place.

Other than the misplaced fuel door and the tail lamp colors (which I'm sure aren't US spec, poor Aussies) the car looks fantastic in these pics.

now see, that's a V8... and the "hot glue and velcro" lights are still on the front end

those amber outside lights are required in most European countries as well as in Oz... the gist of the rule is that the turn signal has to be a different color from the rear brake and tail lamps... and I believe that they do specify amber as the turn signal color.

How do we know its a V8? Those brakes are still disturbingly small.

Ah man I was hoping the fuel door was on the Drivers side...No way I'll allow mine to have a yellow signal bulb cover, I'd take rear eurolamps before that. The should have a small yellow indicator surrounded by a red rear lense cover for the signal bulbs. Why would they make it completely yellow?

Considering how many people still thought that since the prototype has 4 headlights that the production car would get 4, long after it was clarified that these were quickie makeshift preproduction lights, I think your message will need to be printed in every 2nd post.

I thought the heads at gm said that it would be tough to tell the difference between the concept and the production model... First the corny head lights then the obnoxious backup lamps-- now the gas cap? Dam thing looks domesticated.

It's location, if that's where it really is, is fine with me.

I think if it had been in the same location as the Concept, there might have been complaints from owners of spilling gas atop and down the fender, as well as other "issues".

I'm OK with the location, and I'm also glad to see it on the passenger side. I'm also very happy to see that it isn't like the one on the production Challenger! Personally, I think the "chromed cap"/"aluminum filler look", look "fugly".
