You know....if you don't want someone taking pictures of your prototype, what do you do? For starters, don't transport it on a trailer uncovered... Anyone else think these tiny pix were leaked? I really wonder if GM did this to get our thoughts on the front end (looks great) and the gas cap location (back to the drawing board). I wonder when these were really snapped.

Oh, and I see what you guys are saying about the front calipers being small...they do look kinda smaller than average.

please do try and explain to me - what in hell of a difference does it make to you whick side the gas cap is on?? i mean, come on - it makes NO difference, whatsoever. so far i've had two cars with gas fillers on the driver's side it and more inconvenient then the other way around IMHO. maybe it's the european vs american mentality, i don't know. i think it looks great the way it is.

and about the amber lights - us & canada are (as far as i know) the only two countries that use red turn signals and only two countries that can have cars driving with red turn signals 100% legal (i'm driving my vette here in poland with unchanged lights, but that's illegal and i can pay a huge fne for that)

Is it really that serious where the gas cap is? I mean I really don't think its gonna change anything about how great this car is coming along!!!

Well, I think we all knew the gas filler wasn't going to be on the top. That would've been really cool though! I don't think it has anything to do with worries about people spilling gas on their paint. The Miata has it there for pete's sake. It has to do with simple economics. Why do you think it was moved to the side on the 'Vette? I don't care really anyway.

One question, What's up with the grille? Could this be a V6 grille with the V8 being the single slot grille like the concept? I'm not likeing this grille as much so I'm hopeing that's the case. They have to differenciate the V6 and V8 cars somehow!

Not liking the amber turn signals much and being from australia i'll be stuck with them. However clear lenses and coloured globes...hang on...I'm onto something here...will look MUCH BETTER. Hopefully if we get it here thats what they'll do

I'd like to give a shout out to Hans & Christa Lehmann at Hidden Images for these latest photos. I googled Christa and see that she is also responsible for the Camaro fleet photos earlier. I wonder if they are actually from the same timeframe, but more are now being sold. Anyway, great job Christa!

3: Wide, low profile tires.
They could still have all this for the high output V6.
I doubt they would allow anyone to even see their V8 car.

I think you boys need to change your attitudes. First of all if the gas cap is on the right that just gives you boys the opportunity to stand next to your "car" with your arms folded, pumping your gas while everyone checks you out (well your car anyway). Although the side instead of the top mount is less striking, it still looks good. Sorta like a beautiful blonde with a 32 inch chest. Just pretend.

Ah, buy then you wont have the pleasure of walking around the Camaro as often.

After reading all those posts, let me allow me to say the following:

It is absolutely horrible that general motors would ever let this happen to the Camaro. Those lights look hidious and because of them I will refuse to buy the new Camaro. I'm sorry, but thats it for me. And if that wasn't bad enough then there is also the gas cap. It has ruined the entire look of the car. And the paint is awful. Why in the hell would GM ever do that? The beautiful lines of the car can hardly be seen

who cares where the filler is located,im sure as soon as it comes out there will be more than one company making kits to locate it on fender;there will be alot of aftermarket parts from day one for sale.......so make it how you want it

Been to Chicago, been to lots of windy places, heck, it's just as windy here in Omaha, but again, I ask, "Are you not careful with your own doors?" Maybe it's just me (I doubt it), but when it's windy out, I don't just fling open the door, I hold onto it so it doesn't hit anything. At the pump, don't park such that your door would hit anything even if it accidently flies out of your grasp. That seems pretty simple.

I'm sorry, I go back to the covenience thing...the gas cap should be on the driver's side period. My opinion, yes, (and apparently others as well), and no, it is not a deal breaker for me, just a minor annoyance.
