So now that the biggest part of my build is done, onto the next. Going to change out my DRL lights to Cree LED lights:

Also waiting on a DRL harness from Ofer. If it gets here before the weekend, gives me something to do on Saturday!!!

So here is the start up of my engine cover project. I have the one that came with the car, and I purchased two additional covers. My plan is to have a driving cover. Basically one that stays on the car. My plan for the two additional covers is to have "show covers." When we attend shows I can swap out the covers for my newly painted ones once they are completed.

So one of the covers I purchased, the previous owner painted the V8 in IBM and it was cleaner than my original cover so it would be the easiest to install the decals.

So cover number 1, my driving cover:

So after damaging my passenger side housing, I finally got my replacement. I installed the 11W LED bulbs and harness from 2SSRS along with my painted bezels and voila:

So I started on cover number 2 today. This will be one of my show covers:

Using the same before picture since there no reason so take another:
Before:

So I masked off the fuel rail section and primed the rest:

Middle and outside sections painted Imperial Blue Metallic (IBM) to match the car:

Close ups of the blue (bad cell pictures):

Unmasked the fuel rail sections and brought the cover outside to see it better:

masked the blue section and primed the fuel rail sections:

fuel rail sections painted white:

masking removed, not happy with the way the V8 came out, but will fix that later on:

in the sunlight:

Now I'm just waiting for the paint to full dry to apply the clear coat. Once the clear coat has fully dried, then I will add on the finishing touches.

I know most people are all about the "debadge" however, some small badges in the right place can look pretty decent:

Blue10,
Nice job on the build...She sounds sweet and I love all the personal touches you have done...that is what makes it yours!!...
As you can tell from ours, badges work!!

Keep up the good work...

can't get a good night time straight on shot of the side markers because it just creates a large blur so here's the best I can do:
