ZL1 front Mud flaps

Everyone can make their own, super, super easy even with very little ability.

Here are mine, I put these on first thing and they are perfect. Please don't spend allot of money on these like I saw listed. (I can't find the listing anymore) Just get a generic set for $10 at Autozone or any discount parts supplier and then use the back flaps as a sample. Cut down the new ones, install with a few screws and done, again super easy!

It is for two fronts. The rest of the car is equipped with them from the factory.

I Must Agree With You On Pricing I Saw Too. That Pricing Is Out Of Reach For Us ZL-1 People. Think It's A Good Product, Just Priced Wrong

Pricing is based upon materials and time involved to make them. I understand where everyone is coming from but if you figure the time of you going to the store, buying the item, making a template first, then transfer your template. After all that you have to figure out how to mount them. Or you could support a vendor here on camaro5 that keeps this site going. Just my 2 cents.

I followed THR ZL1 #1 's DYI and they turned out great for only $12! $125 bucks from Showstoppers website seems crazy to me.

Make your own. Here is the thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...16#post5690516 RPI sells a SS flap set for a fraction of these. The front flaps work but are a bit small. I made my own similar to the above but extended the flap approx. 3/4" below the bottom of the ground effects and used 3M double stick tape to hold upper section instead of clips. I have seen no new chips since installing the "new" version 5 mo. ago.

$125? I was expecting more like $25.... maybe $35.

Heck the GM molded splash guards front and rear are around $199 and they are even painted body color.

unbelievable....... ranting and whining about a vendor that supports this forum and brings something to market for our niche car that we can obviously use and some have the audacity to cry "its too much money" so are the hundreds of other mods that you can elect to do or elect not to do. I have never attempted to voice my discontent before as this is a forum for one and all. This was however bad form for those linking a dyi and others ranting about the price.
flame away girls....

+1

I would rather invest in a product that has undergone R&D testing and fits perfectly than to jerry-rig a cheap product that I can get at Autozone.
