Car Cover

I'm shopping for a car cover and can't see spending $350 for the GM cover. I have found some nice layered "dust top" covers for indoor storage. I figured I would see what others have done before making my purchase. I'm looking at a Covercraft cover sold by www.carcoversdirect.com.

I ordered my cover from California Car Covers. My Camaro is black and stored indoors so I went with the Dustop ( $209.99 ). Its a very well built cover and soft enough so it doesn't scratch the paint. wwwcalcarcover.com

I ended up going with a waterproof breathable cover from Empire Car Covers
I was going to go with cover king, but it looks like the same cover, but $100 bucks cheaper.

Bought the "Noah" from CCC. Also bought the wheel covers to keep the tire dressing from smearing onto the car cover. It stays in the garage so I realize it's probably overkill. But with the dust, 4 kids and it's not a daily driver it works for me.

I went with the GM cover. It is the best cover I have ever had. One problem....It's so slippery that it is hard to put on by yourself. This makes it really good for your paint though.

Went with the Covercraft Weather HP cover. Slightly over $300 but "Outstanding" fit, very light, color to match my VR baby. 2nd cover I have had and this one is by far the best. Folds into carry bag and very compact so it takes very little room in the trunk. If it gets dirty you can wash it in your home washing machine according with car instructions from Covercraft. Check it out.

I went ahead and ordered it from calcarcovers.com. I guess I could have looked around for a little better price, oh well. I will be happy to have it.

What does a simple dust cover go for for this car. No way I will ever pay $300 for a cover.

Actually, just went back and looked and the NOAH at calcarcovers.com is $225, so no big difference. I think they do give you a break on accessories when you order to it could be cheaper in the end through them. So, if you want to order a bag for the cover or other accessories they discount it a little to buy them at the same time.
