You're right. That's exactly what I've done after posting earlier

Ofer is awesome-I know that already. He posted that he would install a set back in June. I am following up in August. I am not looking for factory-installed NPP V8 videos or V6 NPP with cutouts or the view/sound from inside a cupholder. Not trying to be a douche or pain in the ass but I think a few of us would like to see and hear some personal experience with retrofitting these NPP mufflers to the exhaust system and making them work.

I'm debating on going NPP or Corsa at the moment. I was wondering is there truly a weight difference between stock and the NPP? If so about how much? The less weight the better.

I say at lest 20LB by the shear size of the OEM mufflers and the new 1LE there smaller.

Has anyone installed his? I'm trying to figure out where to cut the stock exhaust for the best fit?

So I am looking at the standard exhaust and see there are resonators about midway back. Anyone know if the NPP systems have these?
I am referring to the exhaust pipe section below the bright white object.

This is a great deal guys!

Ok - I can personally vouch for this deal. I purchased a set here, and here is what I learned.

They were packed well and there were no transportation issues.

They were cleaner than my stock mufflers at 1300 miles.

I had to swap out the diffuser GM part# 22815277 ~$130.

They mounted up just fine. Two cuts to remove the mufflers, use all the existing mounting brackets to slide these in. Swage and weld two pipes, and weld the cross bar.

I did not connect vacuum, but may at some point. No vacuum means wide open all the time (like pulling the fuse in a NPP car)
Vacuum control will range from $50 DIY to ~$200 for an electronic box and install.

Compared to the cost of GM parts kit, the exhaust system is $1400 plus shipping and installation. You would be paying for extra parts if your car already has the resonators and H pipe. Add the diffuser and you are over $1500 before any labor. I finished at $600.

I will have more good things to share about performance later. Nothing dramatic, but positive none the less. The sound is very nice - more like a high end exotic now. I now get what all the NPP fuss was about.

If you are on the fence about this, then I suggest you bust a move. He only has a limited number of these available. In fact I am considering another set to resell locally for $750 installed.

Just ordered my NPP exhaust from gen5diy a few minutes ago! I can't wait! It also beats spending 1400+ on a brand new set. Ugh! Anyway I hope everything goes well. I just love the sound of that exhaust.
