Modding 2014 taillights (RS)

So we all know there is not a lot that can be done on the 2014-15 taillights, i will try to show how to mod them to add LED's so it goes all the way around with out a brake at the center bottom, we will then add a inner turn LED to the taillight, and last will add a set of sequential parts so they flash inner then outer on the same tail light.

More to come.

first off we cut the lens off the housings, we used the good old dremel tool like this.

That seams to work with out melting the plastic to bad, here is the cut on the taillight.

Next you will need to remove the 5 screws on the back to get all the inside to come out, ones that's done you will need a per of long nose pliers to remove the connector in housing, here is a pic of all that done.

Now starts the fun part, we got some 10mm Red LED to help close the running/stop ring on the tail lights, so we started drilling 8 hols in to the inner light deflector, then we wired them in 2 sets of 4 LED, we did that in series so that means + to - till all 4 are 1, to that we ran 2 wires for the + side we wanted to work in both running and stopping mod, and require 2 different volt inputs to work to spec, now we did add diodes to stop the back feeds.

here are 3 pics to show where we are headed.

And here is the back side we needed to make some room for the wires so more hole's.

here is one with it back with some black tape to cove 1/2 the light deflector.

More info soon.

I am confused, so this is for the 14-15 with RS package or non RS package?

What we did is mod the RS LED lights, and made them look like the non RS tail lights by putting on the lens from a non RS and we added lights to the perimeter where it had no lights, The stock RS only has the out side for the turn signal if you look we added lights in the area that has no lights, so now it has to sets of turn light and if we wanted to make it woke, we can have it flash so there delay between the same tail light.
