Who liked the Concept Speedo/Tach better?!

What happened to the retro soul on the inside complimenting the future of the body? I am disappointed that the concept Speedo and Tach did not make production, as seen below. Are there any modifiers out there that are attempting to match these concept gauges? BTW, I am ok with the production gauges on the floor.

DSVcustoms is working on the outer trim. Not the internals.

All I really want more from the Concept interior is the polished/shiny metal look around the speedo and tach.

Two things to consider...

#1....imagine a bright, sunny day at the racetrack (or even the highway)....and you try to look into the big, chrome-laden tachometer for a moment and BAM!!! Sunlight glares in your eyes so brightly you're temporarily blinded....Safe, huh?...

#2....using those things for any extended-length trip will more likely than not become wearing on the eyes. They're not very 'ergonomic' when comes to quick sight-recognition...I mean, some of the numbers are completely upside down...

All that said, I'm sure somebody is gonna make replacements. And I do like the way they complimented the Concept car.

I agree, chrome is a very bad idea functionally. I much prefer real brushed aluminum as opposed to the cheapy looking painted, faux aluminum, trim that the OEM interior has.

If DSV or anyone else offers a real brushed aluminum trim to replace the silver plastic around the gauges and steering wheel, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat.

I love the concepts gauges over the production ones. I'd get them if someone made them.

The productions ones are ok and I still like those too, but the needle on the gauge is so fat you cant effectively tell what speed your doing.

I don't have any problems with the production interior, let alone the gauges.

I've heard this comment before, but have yet to really have this problem. I've never had a hard time figuring out what speed I'm going from the speedometer alone and have always been within a mile per hour or so of what I read off the needle gauge...

The main things I would love to see an aftermarket company make would be the steering wheel (longshot, I know), the dash vents, the pedals, and the guage cluster (whether it be real brushed aluminum and chrome, or high quality plastic). Other than that, I love the production interior just fine.
