Iphone/Ipod touch Dyno

http://www.dynolicious.com/
Dynolicious is the first automotive performance meter available for the iPhone and iPod Touch.Dynolicious uses the hardware built-in to your iPhone to measure the performance characteristics of your vehicle. No external wires or equipment is necessary, simply slip the iPhone into a cradle or cupholder and go! Some of the performance metrics Dynolicious can measure:
o 0-60 Acceleration
o Other Speed Tests (0-10 MPH through 0-100 MPH in 10 MPH increments)
o 1/4 Mile Elapsed Time
o 1/4 Trap Speed
o Elapsed Time and Trap Speed for standard intervals (60′, 330′, 1/8 Mile, 1000′)
o Lateral G’s (current and peak)
o Braking G’s (current and peak)
o Horsepower (wheel and/or estimated crank)
o Friction Circle (max G’s in 16 directions)
o Downloadable Timed Run Graphs
o Downloadable Skidpad Graphs
Unlike other accelerometer-based performance meters, Dynolicious uses the advanced data-handling and display capabilities of the iPhone to make the most of your performance testing. Dynolicious maintains a history of test runs, showing you averages and trends in your results. Dynolicious also allows you to enter modifications performed to your vehicle, and will instantly show before-and-after results to easily identify gains or losses.
Dynolicious utilizes the accelerometer built in to your iPhone or iPod Touch to sense the motion of your vehicle. This data is sampled as many as one hundred times per second, developing a detailed picture of the car’s acceleration. This information is then used to determine the speed of the vehicle and the distance travelled. Due to the unique hardware integrated into the iPhone, this can all be done with no setup, wires, or extra equipment.
Results Presentation
o Real-time Speedometer and Graphs
o Real-time Friction Circle and Graphs
o View results for latest test run or any saved run
o View averages based on vehicle, date, or modification
o Compare results between vehicles, dates, or before-and-after modifications
o Export Graphs for Timed Runs or Skidpad Runs
Configuration
o Rollout 0″ to 24″ (separate settings for 0-60 and Quarter Mile tests)
o Stores vehicle weight and drivetrain efficiency in your vehicle’s profile
o Calibration routine gets the maximum accuracy possible with the built-in acceleromters
Minimum Requirements
o ANY iPhone or iPod touch (Dynolicious does not require GPS or a network connection)
o iPhone OS 2.2 or greater
Dynolicious is available for $12.99 (USD) through Apple’s App Store

I've actually been building a list of iPhone apps for automotive enthusiasts. I'm highly disappointed by the lack of apps for the Google phone regarding cars.

I will eventually get an iPhone to use Speedometer, Dynolicious, Trapster, Rev, G-Park, and TomTom.
