ya a buddy of mine was tellin me that did some similar test with his intake (diff brand) that just killer tho. thats a cam in a n/a car .

he move the intake from the normal postion to the top of the intake mainfold and against the cowl and he said it gained almost another psi. just from moving it.

Yea we did a test like this a few years ago with the maggies. picked up like 48 RWHP i think it was. CRAZY! Cold Air Intake, ateast most of them, or worth every penny on a Roots blower!

Not questioning you or anything but there is almost a 1psi of boost differance.. that's where u picked up the power I'm assuming. Now if the boost were the same.. I'm sure there would be gains.. but not as drastic no?

thats part of it being a better intake , making it better air flow which = more psi. its always good when u can pick up psi with out doing it with a pulley or at least this is the way i think of it . im not a supercharger guy , ive always used nitrous.

The Gains come from Airflow No Matter How you look at it.

If it shows up on the boost gauge it only further proves you picked up airflow to the blower.

No pulley changes were done.

Ted.

Any restriction you can eliminate before the blower on a PD supercharger will show a boost increase whether its a better higher flowing CAI or throttle body. Any restricion you remove after the blower will show a boost decrease like more cubes, cam, higher flowing heads, LT headers and exhaust. At least thats always been the way I have understood it.

Ted you guys have done some great stuff.

Hard to believe the sock air box is that restricting. Even with FI.

Nice job.

I'd like to just raise my compression ratio. lol

14 RWHP on Bone stock cars and 40 RWHP on Supercharged Cam cars.

The restriction is relative to the demand for air.

Mine is due to arrive today so I can hook it up to my TVS2300. I cannot wait to see how much better she responds with more air.
