Header coating?

Well, I'm proud to say I will be making my first visit this coming week to Ted Jannetty in Connecticut ....I think we are going to do Dynatech LT's, Hi-Flo Cats, and mate it to my Borla "S-Type" Cat-Back. And then top it off with a tune. My question is how many of you coated your headers? Ceramic? Header tape? Thanks!

I bought the Dynatech LT ceramic coated headers from Ted, and along with the Dynatech 2-1/2" exhaust I'm very pleased with fit, finish and sound. I'm not sure if the ceramic is doing anything for the heat in the engine bay, but it definitely keeps the headers from being discolored by the exhaust heat. The rest of the 304 SST system has that rainbow look, but the headers do not.

Didn't do it when they were put on, but thinking about pulling them off and having them coated soon.

I made the trip to Jennetty Wednesday of this week and it was a great experiance for me. I had the Edlebrock E-Force supercharger installed about a year ago at a local shop in MA, unfortunetly they only did the box tune. I had a low fuel pressure that Ted discovered on the 1st run. long story short - fixed it with a fuel pump booster (stayed after hours to finish - very much appreciated). Also had the RotoFab CAI, fuel rails, catch can, ww relocation kit, scoop installed - and of course the Dyno Tune. Ride down to CT was OK - ride back to MA = new car with 520RWHP / 520RWTQ (need I say more). Ted and son, Teddy did a great job and am looking forward to more projects in CT. Jennetty Racing I owe you a big thanks!!!!!

Doesn't do much unless you get a vented hood or something.

I had the same question before I had my (Dynatech) headers put on. I went without it and have had no problems.

swaintech white lightning is about the best available out there. Go on the internet and do some research for yourself.

Got my exhaust back yesterday. Turn out very nice. Can't wait to get it installed. Before and after. Sorry about the crappy I phone pics. The white is more like a silverish white with some metallic.
