I picked up my RJT 2SS RS Auto today... and rather than post pics of an RJT Camaro (which most of us have seen). I've decided to focus on Stingray Chevrolet of Plant City, FL the sister dealer to Classic Chevrolet in TX.

The part that I know you're interested in... YES, they are an MSRP ONLY Dealer and they stick to this policy. BUT... it gets better, the dealer fee (Doc / Prep) is ONLY $99 !!! Now, on to the review:

I've been dealing primarily with the Inventory Manager himself (the guy that orders and tracks the Camaro's) - His name is Matthew D. and YES, he does keep you posted on order updates and tracking. But more than that he is a genuinely nice guy and it was a pleasure working with him. Give him a call if you're looking for a car (not just Camaro's). BTW, Matthew I still owe you lunch !



From the moment I walked into the dealership today I was greeted by friendly courteous people. Salesmen were nice even though I wasn't their customer. Techs were welcoming into the prep area and NOBODY had any kind of attitude, a very happy relaxed atmosphere.

I was then greeted by the Owner himself, Mr. Steve Hurley and his son (Matt - the in house Corvette specialist). Mr. Hurley is a car guy, he hung out with me talked Camaro's and expressed he'd rather be talking cars then be stuck in his office. He is truly not what I've come to expect in a Dealer Principle. I've bought (New) BMW, Porsche, Lexus, Hummer etc. etc. and I've NEVER met an owner like Steve - he is first class all the way.



I was made to feel like i was visiting with friends and truly felt welcome. But... it gets better... The reason why I owe Matthew D Lunch is because while we had sat down to eat... Mr. Hurley and his son Matt walked into the same restaurant, sat down and waved. Five minutes later the waitress comes over and says "your lunch has been taken care of by that gentleman" !

When was the last time the owner of your local Chevy dealer sold you your Camaro (MSRP) charged you ONLY $99 for doc / prep AND bought you lunch ???

Stingray is HEAVY into Corvettes (see photos) and I'm sure there are great Corvette deals to be had. So... what are you waiting for ? Call Matthew D (Inventory Manager) or Matt H (Corvette Specialist and Owners Son) and order your car. Stop beating your head against the wall... They earned my business, respect and I'm now a lifetime customer.

BTW, Forgot to mention one inportant person - Scott L (Used Car Asst. Manager) ALSO
took very good care of me on my trade !

IN Finance I used Chaun B who does NOT add warranty's or extras !!! Unless you ask for them.

Stingray is the place to order your Camaro in Florida !

Impressive, I thought I was getting a good deal at MSRP but my dealer is getting over twice that fee and I am just hopeing for a full tank of gas.

Some dealer fees in Florida are $599... you can't argue with a $500 savings !

WOW! This is a great story. Too bad this seems to be the exception rather than the rule.
I bet they have a loyal following - the way a business should be run.
Good for them (and you).

Congrats to you and your purchase! I can assure you that Steve and Matt Hurley are Great people! Steve was the GM here in Grapevine before we bought that store. He and Matt are Car Krazy!!! I can't wait for the cars that I am having delivered there to arrive so my customers can experience the same GREATNESS!!!!!

I get my car serviced there. They could not get me a car fast enough so I bought from another dealer. They seem decent thus far.

Service dept charges 95 dollars a hour..seems expensive but have not serviced my car in a while.

For a dealership around here, $95/hr is on the average to low side.

No kidding. I was cleaning out my truck this weekend (in preparation for my new Camaro rendering it useless soon) and was going through receipts. I had some work done in Oct. 2000 and paid $64.61/hr labor at the Chevy dealer. I found a receipt from work done in Aug. 2005 and paid $85/hr labor at the same dealer. Never thought I'd miss those kinds of labor rates.

this dealership is run by professionals who plan to be around a long time-
and I truly believe they have all of the skills and tools to pull this off. Honesty, integrity, great people in key positions (Matthew, Shannon) are just a few things worth mentioning. They're gonna stand out in a crowd of GM dealerships and be in the front row.

I called and this dealer DOES NOT accept supplier or GMS pricining as well as it DOES NOT accept military discount as well on the Camaro. Oh well, thought they I was going to have to drive up there but I guess not.. Still a good deal for those who don't have any discounts which are available.. Perhaps they accept employee pricing if you work there..
