I'm in Miami but I've always used Jeremy Formato of Fasterproms. He's based out of Tampa but also travels and books places to tune. I've driven all the way to Tampa before to have him tune a car..... you would have a much shorter ride!

Mike Norris comes down once a month and has family roots here I believe... he did my cam..

Also Tampa Tuning if you don't mind the drive over to Petersburg... Tampa Tuning was the best price and Phil is top notch. Search for him on google or on here and you will see his webpage. Both provide a great product and you will be happy you did the tune.

EDIT:....I just re-read that you are already getting that stuff installed. No disrespect intended, but why did you not have a tuner set up? You need that relatively quickly after the cam, and a dyno will run you approx. $500. You can ride without a tune on headers and bolt ons for a while, but with a cam.. I don't know if it would be very wise to go much further than the install and home on the base tune. Had a lot of stalls on the way to get mine done. We..unfortunately.. have a terrible market of tuners here. Installers are here and there, but tuners are scarce without the 2 hour drive.

check out Matt with florida speed and power. Great reputable fella in our industry. I text him some stupid question pretty much every single day and he manages to answer every single one of them in a timely manner. With all the parts i've purchased, hes been the greatest vendor by a landslide.

He didn't mention being a vendor or having a high post count as a requirement..... just who was thought best.

The forum world may not be for everybody and that shouldn't be counted as a negative. Some tuners have reputations that precede them without having to teach class on the forums.

There is some great advice given on this forum.... and there's a whole lot of opinion and b.s. as well. Just like some of the vendors sell inferior products and snake oil.

Everyone should have the right to be able to say what they believe without it being ruled by vendor status or post count. JMHO

I appreciate all of the endorsements in this thread for us down here at FSP. We can take care of all your tuning needs, having tuned thousands of LSx vehicles for the last 10+ years I'd have no problem to take care of you. We are a bit over 2 hours from Orlando, but I can take care of your tuning needs in one-day and get you a free loaner car to visit the beach if you want!

We are having a tuning special right now for cam only cars, shoot me a PM for full pricing.

With having the luxury of being able to choose anyone in the country to work on my car I've only found two shops that stand head and shoulders above the rest. One being Ted at JRE and Matt at FSP. Those are the only two I've let help with my car. With Matt being so close to you it's a no brainier. Go to FSP. You won't find any better shop around. His work speaks for itself but his customer service is out of this world. Matt will take care of you!!

+1 for Matt @ FSP great knowledgeable tuner, he's got a wealth of experience tuning in the LSx world and provides some of the best customer service in the industry. We send him all our blower installs/tunes in the central FL area, I am sure he can take care of all your performance and tuning needs.

I would go with Matt@ FSP personally. I have had my car tuned now my a few mentioned in this thread already to include the non-forum sponsor Jeremy Formato and I will say that my car has driven 10xs better since I had Matt tune it.

*Matt fixed my tune NA before I ever added the SC so me going to him after the SC was a no-brainer*

Matt was able to take my NA CAM and make it work beautifully with my ECS Supercharger. Not an easy tasks with my tight lsa.

None the less, he has my vote. If you are local or ever in the Tampa area and want to feel/see for yourself I do not mind. Car drives stock or as close as it can get and is 700+ @ the wheels

Matt at FSP is one great guy. I really appreciate his efforts to answer all my questions patiently, no matter how dumb they may seem. I have really been impressed with their competence and have complete confidence in the skill of Matt and Rodney. Without a doubt they're my go to shop for all future engine mods and tunes, even though they are over 100 miles north of me. Take your car to FSP and you won't be sorry!

Def. Matt at FSP, he had his hand in my car when he was at ECS here in NJ and anyone on here will tell you that ECS is one of the best. I know it seems like a long drive but it's worth it. ECS is about an hour and a half from where I live and I've never regretted it. So hit Matt up on some quotes.

BTW Matt, I see you updated the rental car from the "turbo" Solara

Another vote for Matt @ FSP

If I'm not doing the work myself, I'm very picky about who I let work on my cars. After laying out a plan with Matt last year I ended up bringing my car half way across the country - not once but twice - to work with Matt and the ECS crew. Hell, Matt even drove the car back out to me at Camaro5Fest - his customer service was so good I didn't even mind the NSync disk he left in the CD player

Matt's good people... OP, you owe it to yourself to check him out!!

Paul...
