You need an x-pipe or an h-pipe. You'll lose a bunch of power with straight pipes (i.e. no connection between the two sides).

i think your x pipe helps with scavenging. i would keep it. in regards to the tuner i would go to your regional forum and ask what people near you have used.

If you have an auto, cut out the stupid resonator and buy a good quality x-pipe to replace it with. We sell the Magnaflow x-pipe for this exact reason. It is an inexpensive way to make your own cat back exhaust, with good quality pieces.

The Magnaflow X-pipe is a true x-pipe, as opposed to two barely joined pipes with a hole between them. Better exhaust gas scavenging, noise cancellation and better balance between cylinder banks. It is a great improvement from the factory LS3 H-pipe, and a vast improvement from the L99 resonator, for under a hundred bills!

Feel free to call, email, or PM us anytime!
