will i choke the exhaust/lose power if...

I currently have 1 7/8 long tubes no cats and straight pipes. Question is I'm wanting to run dumps behind the axle and replace the factory H pipe with a duel in dual out flowmaster 40 series. do y'all think it will be restricted?

I wouldn't recommend using a muffler for your crossover (I don't think you could fit one either). You need it to help scavange the exhaust and a muffler won't do that. For LS engines I generally recommend using a X-pipe.

Thanks for the help! Looks like I'm gonna use a resonated x pipe.

If it fits and I left the H do u think I would restrict? Still gonna go with the resonated x relaxing the H but j/w.

Adding a muffler between both banks? If you still have the standard or resonated X-pipe up front, the muffler wouldn't do much of anything except add dead weight.

For noise with my outlaws the resonated x seemed to reduse and muffle the sound by 30-35%(est)

Why would you have both a H and X pipe? Typically, you replace the H with a X and at the same spot in the exhaust path.

The Magnaflow resonated X pipe Part # 11386 is what I recommend. Feel free to call, PM or email me with questions or pricing.

Best regards,
