That car wash is going to cost him $$ to now remove all the dmg he just did to his clear coat unless he like's the swirlmark look I wont even put my daily driver worth $800 in one of those let alone a 40k car.

That was taken in a town right next to where I live, and from the quotes I think it was purchased from my dealer. My salesman told me about the guy who got the first v8 was getting the vortech supercharger installed for free. Like one of the comments under the video stated. I only hand wash mine, no car wash for my camaro.

At least the guy is out driving his Camaro and not spending countless hours hand washing it in his driveway.

For a lot of us, this goes against what we'd do for our own cars but think about these things...

1. Maybe he lives in an apartment and doesn't have a place to wash his car.
2. He just spent $5 and 2 minutes to wash his car. How much does it cost you and how long does it take for your car?
3. Maybe it's "just a car" for him. He may move on to something else when the newness wears off on the Camaro.
4. Maybe he's headed to pick up his girlfriend for a date and didn't have time to hand wash it.

Just some thoughts...

I probably won't be taking mine through any car washes soon. On the other hand, I certainly plan to drive it around and not spend every weekend washing the hell out of it.

Jersey Shore? I would no be washing mine every weekend if you are on a well. Water there is hard as a rock. Lived there for 3 years and saw all the damage that water did to my pool and plumbing.

Besides that the dang green head flies will eat you alive while you wash your car.

You guys think car washes run straight tap water through their systems? If they did that, they'd have a lot more problems with their very expensive equipment then they would with putting swirl marks in your car.

Is there a problem with touchless? I have been doing that or use my own power Washer in my driveway. I dont think there is too much difference with the power washer and the touchless car wash...

I was laughing with how the guy commented on the Youtube page that they get 100K type cars. Anyone with a 100K car going through a carwash either has so much money they don't care or don't know the meaning of owning a car like that.

looked to me the car was already pretty darn clean, if he cared enough to wash a clean car he certainly wouldn't go through a was like that.

Seems odd or staged to me

But that's just my .02

I'll most likely hand wash mine 90% of the time. But occasionally I'll run it through the touch free wash.

But I know guys that have cars that cost them 3 times what I paid for my Camaro SS, and they drive their cars (Porsche Carrera, SL 550) through the automatic car washes all the time.
My mom takes her Lexus ($45,000 SUV) through a local gas station cash wash all the time (once a week or so), and her paint still looks fine and her car is two years old.

Even so, I'll be hand washing my car most of the time. It gives me time to bond with my car.

Not me.especially if it's black. My wife got pissed because i didn't get around to washing her car earlier in the spring. She took it to the car wash. It's got scrathes all over. Most people wouldn't even notice them. but me and my sons do.Her car had been waxed late in fall, not to mention the clear coat.If she could have had a little patience I would have washed her up and made her look good. But noooooooooooooooooo. My 010 has already been washed and waxed with mcguires. Now to keep her out from under the trees.
