Golden One

Getting close to placing and order and I was wondering if anyone had used Golden Credit Union's Car Buying Program to purchase their car. Using them is one of my options as far as getting a good price. Any input would be greatly appreciated as far as getting the best price. By the way I live in Sacramento,CA

Using a credit union to finance your car or being a credit union member can get you a credit union discount.

it cant hurt to see what their price is, then see what the dealer can do without using a service like that. with the internet now days its easy to send emails to dealers and have them work without you going in. my deal was set before i set one foot into the dealer, i went with the one that was giving me the best deal since they had to do a dealer trade.

also keep in mind that if you have good credit the apr is negotiable. when i purchased my camaro my CU was at 1.99. the dealer asked if i would be willing to go through them. i said if they could beat it. they did with a 1.6. dealers want to finance which is not a bad thing because if you keep t open longer than 6 months they get a "kickback" from the bank. in my case i paid it off in 5 months so the dealer didnt get the kickback, and the bank only made like 25-35 in interest on me.
