Black with Flat Black Stripes

This may have been covered before if so I appologize in advance but has anyone considered Black with flat black stripes? I love the look do you know if any dealers will allow you to order this way? The dealer I am using said they use gloss black stirpes so they wouldn;t be able to do it, I would have to get it done myslef.

I also have black on order and i've seen pictures of black on black and it is hard to see the stripe. The black stripe looks very dull to me. I wouldn't do it but it is just my opinion.

I like the subtle look of the flat black stripes. Now don't yell but I actually saw it on the GT500 Mustang and it made me like it even more.

Yeah see to me that looks nice. To each his own.

But why wouldn;t GM make this a dealer installed option? If the dealers have flat black stripes why not, right?

GM should allow buyers to order it through the ordering system but as of now, you will need to order the flat black stripes over the counter. Dealer can easily get the stripes and install them for you.

I think it would be a class touch to a black car... The CGM stripes look good on black also.

I know one or two of our Camaro Customers asked about Flat Black on Black. They bought stripes, but I have not received any pics back yet.

I thought all Camaro black stripes were flat black? I would expect GM won't give that option black w/ flat black stripes but your dealer can order them and then apply them.

It would look very cool!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but can the vinyl stripes be removed from the car years after without any damage to the paint?

Our color scheme will be just like the Mustang we did. Great looking color combo.

I love the black car with satin black stripes. The black and cyber grey is nice also. Maybe a darker silver stripe. But satin black is my favorite. And for me it has to have chrome wheels

I've done it a few times. Use a heat gun and be careful not to burn the paint. 3M also sells a stripe remover which is sprayed onto the stripe.

Depending on the time the decal was on the car, you will most likely see where the stripe used to be due to the fact that the paint under the stripe was protected from the sun and contaminents compared with the rest of the cars paint.
