Ran a LS3 or L99 SS at the Strip are you on here (SRT8 vs SS) Video

Hows it going guys, ran a LS3 or L99 Camaro SS at the strip this past week and he had a Camaro 5 sticker so I wanted to see if he was possibly on here and say good run and find out his mods and if it was an LS3 or L99, I know for sure it wasn't a v6 because of the exhaust note, didn't sound like headers but definitely an aftermarket catback. Reason I ask is because this is a similar outcome I have had against stock L99's, intake,exhaust LS3's are usually a dead heat for me. He was with about 5-6 other 5th gens. I looked at his car in the staging lanes with the hood open and I could see he had an intake and an aftermarket catback when he started it. This was at the 1/8th mile at irwindale in SoCal.

not really, car would have lost regardless being untuned if it was a L99. That was a steady pull no matter how you look at it. Ive ran just about every variation of L99/LS3 at the strip. Some friends some randoms

Just curious on your 1/8 mile times & (DA) as I have the same mods. I have run a best of 8.2x @ 87.9x and consistently run 8.4's @86.xx in DA's from +300 to + 1000

You buggers need to get over this tank stuff! It's got a real back seat, trunk and weighs little more than your exalted ZL1! The 3800 lb SS ain't no light wt. either. Maybe it's a good thing for us Ford and Chevy boy's these Mopars are so heavy, serve us all right if the Barracuda came in at 3200 lbs.

I guess bud Untuned or not you beat the driver. That car was a bad driven LS3 or a l99 on limp mode with a really bad launch. I belive your car is tad faster then a catback 2010 l99 with your mods but thats about it. Even when I was bone stock I beat every 6.1 I have ever ran with. Pretty good chance you know how to drive your car and you cut a good light. That alone is more then half the battle!

I dont know how many faster cars I have beat based on my reaction on the tree and knowing my car! I have pissed off alot of people like that, took down a H/C ls3 vette my last time out a few times. He was not happy, but you dont see me posting vids about a cam camaro beating a H/C vette like I actually think I have a faster car! I had people coming over to look at my car because they could not believe I was running what I was on stock tires, and taking down a supercharged stang and a vette. Goes to show how bad some people drive!

What are L99's running with a catback? Stock here in Gainesville usually run mid 13's.... My car with the same mods as the op runs high 12's with a best of 12.7.... I doubt too many catback L99's run that ( at least in Florida they dont)

No LOL. You beat every 6.1 you raced because you beat the drivers I can assure you that. The 6.1 and L99 and LS3 have and will always be a drivers race. My car a tad faster then a catback L99 is laughable also considering I have many friends with Full bolt on tuned L99's and have ran enough times to know what the outcome is. Cant post those videos tho because they aren't on the "Track". Just know whoever got the jump would win and im intake, tune, cai only the L99's I have raced were Headers,gears,intake,tuned. And before you go off the deep end and start talking about which car is faster post up some facts otherwise I wont take you serious. I run at the track year round constantly and I have tons of video. BTW my friends Cam only 6.1 300 ran a 11.9@117 to your 12.3@116...

Guess these were bad drivers to....
