I'm pretty sure the CTS-V's have the LSA in them.

I know they newer ones do.

EDIT: Cancel that^

1st gen V's have the LS6, no idea why the dealer says LS2.

Anyways unless you're getting a 2nd gen V go with the Camaro.

04/05 were LS6. 06/07 were LS2. 06/07 also received upgraded rear end. Nice cars.

Unless it is a CTS-V with the LSA then go SS route.

That cts-v has a decent amount of mods, probably runs pretty quick, I'd still go camaro though

To help with the comparison, I own a 2012 Camaro SS, my mother owns a 2012 CTS-V. She walks my car at will (I know, embarrassing). I still would not trade my Camaro. I paid 2/3’s what she paid. For the same price if you want the HP and fun of the Camaro, get the ZL1. Same HP, Same engine and same suspension. $10,00 + less than the CTS-V.

I would be more cautious of 2 people owning that highly modded car. At least 1 of those 2 ragged the sh*t out of that car I don't care what the dealer says. They are cool cars, though I wouldn't go with an older one. GM didn't quite have their sh*t together in 07. Even Caddies looked cheap back then. Get the Camaro and S/C it. By by caddy!

I think stock for stock an old V vs. an SS would be a drivers race, with a slight edge to the SS. I also happen to think the V's are very cool cars...but I'd have to hold out for an 09+.

I would say a fresh SS...that cts-v could have been a track hoar. Receipts don't show how the car was driven. Grandma didn't own this car either. I would buy a SS and mod it the way u want.

I would say agree with waiting or an 09+, those older V's are not too great IMO. Also styling for a huge upgrade for the 9+'s the interior before is so bland. If not waiting for an 09+ then go for the SS.
