Finally picked up the car

I finally got my car back after a long two weeks. I can't wait till I hit the 500 mile break in period so I can take it to get tuned so I don't have to keep it from stalling every time I stop. I decided on Tampa Tuning after hearing so many great reviews. Ill post a video in a bit

What performance mod(s) did you do that require a 500 mile break-in but yet need a tune so it won't stall? Not following?

You should get it tune right away even if you have a base tune that gets you close ls motors are roller you dont need a breakin period and if you swapped rings you need to run it hard to seat the rings

Why the rocker ratio and what TSP cam?

And why a 500 Breakin period?

Why run it hard to seat the rings? Your supposed to do it the way your builder requests you to do so.
It wasn't the way I broke in my stroker that's for sure.

I was told I need to break it in before I run it like crazy. It's a 235/239.639/623" cam. 6"65 double springs, Hardened rods 1.85 rollers, CTS-V Value cover Breather, and Hennessey intake

Should I worry about it or just run it hard?

If it's not tuned you need to be very careful about the AFR and potential spark knock.

I would do exactly what your shop tells you to do. Despite what anyone tells you here, if you have any problems during this break in, you want to be able to tell the shop you were only following their orders and not screwing around.

Who recommended this setup?
Is it a .639/.623 lift with a 1.7 rocker because if you are using a 1.85 rr then it's going to be waaaay more than that!

I wouldn't run this setup for 500 miles without a tune! Someone if giving you very bad info bud!

At least a base tune. When we do fresh builds for customers here we at least get a nice road tune in it so we know it's safe to hand off to the customer and isn't stalling or acting a fool. Once they get some mileage on it we come back and finish on the dyno.

The only thing that needs Breakin are the springs and they need a few heat cycles without a load on them. But those 1.85 rockers scare me more lol you really need to inquire about that before they start dropping the hammer bud.

I agree, verify lift with the rocker ratios. The 1.7 stock ratio is already steep on most grinds.

Got a couple videos tonight. The car runs perfect no issues at all and hopefully I can get them to give it a basic tune tomorrow or Saturday.

Daytime drive by-
