Refreshed 430ci went in today

Finished 95% of the work today, just have to bolt up the starter and the other header/4 spark plugs and make a new vacuum pump hose to the right length. Saved for tomorrow so my mind was right when I doublechecked over everything. Very pleased with how the black intake lid, black fuel rails and black VCs ended up looking. Shitty cameraphone pics... will use my real camera once I have it finished.

Cliffs: 430CI, E85, 2" Headers, GZ Vacuum Pump, TSP Small Bore LS7 heads, 14.7:1 Compression (not a typo), Built 4L80, Circle-d 5C Billet multi stall, Trans-Brake, soon to be under 3400 pounds. Hoping for 630 rwhp through the auto, the old engine made 602 and this one has more compression and a much better intake.
The N/A record is going to get walloped....

Just wondering, you had a 429 before and upgraded to a 430? Is the 1ci worth the money?

The extra 1 cubic inch came from honing to fit the new pistons.

I like that your doing using a vacuum pump! Proper crankcase evac is so important and a good vac pump is the best solution. Make sure you use a vac relief valve on the opposite valve cover that you evac from and keep it no more than 14-15" max. We haven't gotten them to live over 5-8k miles on the street, but new vanes and bearing are not hard to swap.

You put that amount of $ into an engine, crankcase evac is critical to protect it.

Love the build.
